The result is that I now have a fuel source for the generator that will allow it to run 5-7 days without a refill in the event of a major electrical outage (multi-day outages common in our area - twice in the last two years). In addition, since I now own the tank (the 200-gal tank was owned by T-H), I don't have to fill it at least once a year (part of the tank rental agreement) and pay for more than I actually use. In addition, I can "shop around" for the best price when the time comes for a refill. Something you can't do when the tank is owned by the propane company.
