Very smooth transition from my old cable service.  We kept the same phone number, and the transition between providers was easy and trouble free.  RCN was able to beet my previous service's monthly price by nearly $40 with defined and guaranteed increases over the next 3 years that will still be less than my previous provider was charging.  Additionally, for the lower price, we picked up additional channels and faster broadband internet downloads.  The installer was professional and courteous.  He arrived early and completed the job in the expected time. He provided all the necessary instructions and paperwork.  The $143 dollars covered the first month charge.  The installation was free.

Quick response, problem solved.

Went excellent. Pleasure to deal with the service rep on the phone. Very helpful and, although it was likely standard policy, he "discounted" the installation charge. That was a bonus as I expected to pay the advertised price. The independent installer was prompt for the appointment. In fact, he was early and called ahead to see if it was alright to come early. That certainly was much appreciated. He did an excellent job; cleaned up after himself and was very polite. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.
