The surgery was performed by Dr. Rocchio. It went well. However, the office is very disorganized. I was kept waiting one hour past my scheduled appointment time on my first visit. Then I waited 45 minutes beyond my appointment time on my follow-up visit. My experience with other physicians has been that you are not charged for follow-up visits after a procedure. Not true here. The charge was $150 for the follow-up and he spent all of 5 minutes with me! I do not plan to go back or recommend them.
Response from PA Foot & Ankle Associates
"The service we performed for you is not classified as surgery which is why the follow up was an office visit. Most insurance companies would cover the follow up visit had it been an actual surgical procedure. We do sincerely apologize for the wait. Our office, like many, recently switched to an electronic medical records system which takes a bit more time for the patient and physician in the initial phase. Our wait times have been reduced since your last visit. If you have any questions regarding the procedure you had or your insurance coverage for it, please call our billing department. We would be very happy to review it with you."

Finally I decided to have it looked at.  I sort of don't like podiatrists because they always try to sell you their products (orthodics, braces, etc).  One of his staff took xrays, he looked at my ankle, and gave me a prescription for some cream from a pharmacy in the Jersey Shore.  I called them and the price was very high (over $200 and that was with insurance), but I was hurting so I decided to go ahead and get it anyway.  The cream is like a miracle worker, within one week, my ankle issue went away.  Also, I use it recurringly now whenever I feel any slight discomfort.  So, I'm giving him high marks, for his diagnosis and approach.  Also, his staff was very cordial; they made me wait about 30 minutes, which I don't like, but otherwise it was an overall very positive experience.

He cut the calsus down and took out the center, what a relief. The foot feels great and he was a very friendly doctor and thorougly explained the whole process.
