The long and short of it is even thrugh we spent the extra money on the Federal Tax Credit windows when we went to do our taxes our accountant said that the windows were not up to spec for the program. I strongly feel that this company has not provided us with the product as promised and they will do what they can to keep the customer quiet while they get the job done as soon as possible and take your money and get out. The window installer even left outside portion (storm windows and screens) of the old windows in place and now I need to hire another contractor to go up on the third floor to complete the job.
Description of Work: We needed to replace some old windows in our 100 year old home and our contractor recommended Norandex building materials. He came back with several quotes on different ranges of window types and qualities. We decided to go with the Simonton Prism Bronze with argon gas as they were energy efficient. We also chose to spend an little extra money to make sure the windows were up to par with the Federal Tax Credit program.
