MCNABB'S SERVICE

Dropped of my van for inspection and oil change. They failed inspection and they told me I need new brakes and front bearings. I told them to hold off on oil change, and repairs so I can go elsewhere for a second opinion because they said it would be in the $thousands but they didn't give me a straight price or didn't bother writing up an estimate when I asked which felt kind of shady. When a shop can't provide you with an estimate or give you an exact price-RUN! When I picked up the keys the fellow behind the counter handed me the keys without saying a word. Couple of days later as I'm driving to another facility, the engine blew a piston, because McNabbs had emptied out the oil and left it dry without telling me. The engine was bone dry. They didn't bother to tell me because I wasn't getting the repairs done there. Because of their incompetence I'm out of a engine. I would hate to think that it was done out of spite. If they would have mentioned to me that they already started the oil change, I would have ok'd it, but they didn't. Stay away from this shop.

Charged for emissions testing when is was not needed. Provided only a partial refund even though the test was not necessary.

We will never use this service station again.

They are outstanding. It's a small shop. The owner did the work, and he did it immediately while I waited. I only had to wait there for only 15 minutes. I used to use him a lot before I moved out to where I live now. He was very good at the particular service that I needed. That's why I went there.

I called McNabbs to schedule an inspection, emissions, and oil change. The lady who answered the call was polite and friendly and was willing to get me in for service very quickly. I dropped off my car on Friday, and picked it up later that day. It turns out they never did the oil change. They didn't charge me for it or anything, just completely forgot that I asked them to do it. The guy who I paid and gave my keys back was apologetic, but said that all he could tell me is to bring it in on Monday, since they're too busy on Saturdays! Don't think i will be returning.

My family and I have been using McNabb's Service Station for years. They always perform quality work with a no nonsense attitude. They have never attempted to upsell me on anything nor suggest that any working part or system needs maintenance when it doesn't. Their repairs have always been performed very well and come in exactly at the estimated cost. They have always been flexible with service dates, drop offs, and drive up emergencies. While they are not the cheapest shop, the flexibility and complete honesty will keep me coming back to them for service.

They did a good job and they were reasonable. I would use them again.

I used to take my two cars to them for several years for routine service and state inspections. They used to do an OK job and were reasonably priced but recently the quality of their work dropped a lot. After the last service on my car I found several loose parts in the engine compartment and they completely forgot to connect a hose for a pressure sensor, causing the check engine light to go on. Ten months later I had an oil leak due to the incorrectly installed valve cover gasket. I fixed that myself and I will not take my car to McNabbs in the future.

I had previously gone to National Tire and Battery, who told me I needed all my fluids replaced, and were willing to do it for 500$, then after I argued, they said they'd do four fluids for $280. I went to McNabb's and he told me that I only actually needed the coolant and oil, the others were fine. He charged $130 for the whole thing, and it took 2 and a half hours.

Overall job went well. McNabb's is more reasonably priced than the dealer.

It went well. They were able to see me last minute. They got it checked out and did a good job for the price. There was a minor scratch on the dashboard afterwords, but other than that they were great.

They are extremely professional and very timely. They always let you know what it is going to cost before they do the work. They are very reasonable and I have no complaints about them at all.
