Hair Salons/Barbers
Kids Kuts does not take appointments for children's haircuts (only for adult haircuts, which is the "Imperial Coiffures" part of the salon). We went at 10am on a Saturday morning, expecting a long wait. But even though there were half a dozen children already there, we were seen within 10 minutes. The kids' part of the salon is fantastic -- the barber chairs are actually ride-on animals that you see in parks on big springs. There are many toys, books, and videos to serve as entertainment and distractions. When it was our turn, I held my son loosely on the animal chair, and the stylist spritzed his hair with water and started cutting. Considering it was his first haircut, it went very well with only a few tears and the stylist was extremely patient. We were amazed she did such a great job cutting hair on a squirmy 1-year old! The haircut prices are by children's ages, and for a 1 year old it was $12 -- and we added a $5 tip as we were so pleased by the service!
