TV Repair
When the heating coil failed in my Maytag oven burned itself through a few days before Christmas,
I called J & L Electronics & Appliance Repair (in part) because of their ad in the yellow pages promising fast service.
They did not disappoint!
One-hour window the next day, and they arrived at the beginning of the hour.
Replaced the coil within minutes, but....
when power was restored,
the coil remained ON even when it was turned OFF.
(So much for FAILING SAFE, shame on you Maytag!)
The culprit was the circuit board.
Maytag wanted $400+ for a new one,
but the service technician called around, then recommended a rebuild as an alternative.
Took a bit longer (mailing the circuit board to the midwest and back),
but worth the wait given the significant savings.
Well done, J & L - a first-rate job all around!
