Hess Windows & Doors

My husband and I have used Hess Windows/Doors for a long time. We had Steve and Stephen G. work at our home on 7/2924. The installed a brand new French Door. Their arrival time was when they said they would be at our home. They were great! Bernadette and Rocco

Very well. Mike and Alex worked well together. There was a little glitch but they solved the problem quickly and efficiently. They were neat and very careful of surrounding floor and area. Trim around door had to be replaced,, original too flimsy to reuse. I responded yes to "would I hire again" but all the windows have already been replaced. I definitely will recommend to neighbors. It went well. The workmen were very nice. They seemed to get along well with each other too. They were also very tidy. I appreciate that just as much. They also had to do some carpentry and did that well, too.

All work was done without any problems.

It took 2 days and was very nice work. One window arrived with a scratch and was quickly replaced. Amazing. I prefer hiring a company that has a reputation and that has been around for many years.

They were very nice to deal with at their store and when they came to do the work. They removed the old windows and installed the new ones in a couple of days and cleaned-up after themselves. There were no surprises either. We were very impressed that they replaced a large picture window that was still under warranty from the previous owner.

The person that came out to do the quote was very nice and personable. He understood I didn't have a lot of money but really needed a new window. He measured the window. The quote I got was more than reasonable. I went for it. A couple of days later another person came to measure the window to make sure the measurements were correct. I'd say about 3 weeks later the installers came. They were on time, professional , and answered any questions I had without hesitation. The window I had in looked like it was as old as my house. They took it out and had everything done in about 3 hours. I can actually see out my living room window. There were two parts missing but the installers fixed it until the parts are available. I know I won't have to call them. The installer was very honest. Told me what I should know and what not to do until the parts come in. If I ever need anything else I most certainly will call this company first since everyone else had such high quotes. I wish I would have called them a lot sooner. Words do not express how happy I am. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. They did a terrific job. It passed inspection without any problem. The people that represented the company were very professional. I was looking for a certain type of awning and they were recommended by another awning company that did not do the aluminum awning. They were prompt. They were always on time. They were very courteous and they were very polite about they used our house. They strived to do everything with very high quality. If there were any problems, they cleared those out and they explained what they were doing. I will absolutely use them again. I am going to probably call them again one of these days.

.. Door froze with a solid sheet of ice. Door froze shut. Latch snapped off. One year later, the inside started peeling and continued since. A call to discuss this was met with a snappy response. You will have to wait. I was told that I could schedule something and only could be before 3 pm. Inflexible hours just to look at door that cost over 600.00. I cannot recommend them to anyone. Hess did a wonderful job from estimate to completion. They were very professional. There is a bit of a wait from the time of ordering until installation, which was explained at the time of the estimate, because they do not use subcontractors, so scheduling their crews can take some time.

The entire experience was excellent. Our salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful. Pointed out little details and made the process very painless. They were patient and understanding when it came to installing the door. Had a very snowy winter and when door came in and was ready to be installed had about foot of snow/ice on deck. Once we cleared the deck enough and the ice melted the installation was scheduled promptly. The installer was on time and did a wonderful job. Looks great!! We had only one concern with the installation that was taken care of quickly and with no hesitation at all. We absolutely love our new door. Everyone we dealt with were very helpful, and courteous. When we are ready to install a new front door and new windows we have no question who we are calling.

An appointment was scheduled when the doors were ready. Men arrived as scheduled and did an excellent job from start to finish. They were very professional, friendly, and did an excellent job. They know how to hang a door! This is not the first door Hess has installed in my home. I've always had excellent work, professional, honest, fair people who are customer oriented--not easy to find anymore. Several of the doors they've installed in the past were not standard-size, easy installations, but they made it look easy. Why wouldn't I return to a company like that? I highly recommend this company for you know when the job is finished, you will be very satisfied. It's good to work with people who get it right the first time!

I always been very pleased with their service, and what they did for me.They are an excellent provider. I have used them in the past, and if I needed anything else, they are the first people I would call.

Hess was great. The previous homeowner used them to install windows and a back door. Had quotes from ABE and Hess. Both quotes were about the same cost, but Hess offered more variety in the styles and options available. The workmanship is beautiful, from the trim, molding and caulking, the doors are air tight and service delivered as quoted. I am completely thrilled with the results! I would highly recommend Hess for any door or window needs.

We ordered this door replacement in March. Since the transom was a custom size, we needed to wait for the piece to be done. Worth the wait. The door was replaced and looks beautiful. The guys on the job were meticulous with fitting it and took their time with placement. They were all very professional and cleanup was complete. The guys were courteous and very professional. Steve was extremely professional and went over the care of the door. There was a piece which did not match up in the transom trim, but Steve assured me that the piece is being reordered and will be replaced so the match up will be perfect.

We had the glass crack in a double hung dual pane window. We contacted several installers but Hess was willing to replace only one window. The salesman showed up promptly, gave us some suggestions and then a price. There was no pressure involved. We then decided to replace a second window in the bedroom to have them match. The salesman measured the window opening, but then Hess sent out an installer to double check the measurements to be sure they were correct. The windows had to be ordered. They came within the time frame given by Hess and an appointment was set up for the next day. The installer, Steve, showed up on time and was very helpful in explaining the operation of the new windows. The installation was done very quickly and professionally. He even was able to match some trim using paint he carried with him. He left the bedroom and the garage area where he worked just as clean as when he started. While going in and out of the garage Steve noticed a slight misalignment of the door and he offered to adjust it, which he did at no extra charge. We were extremely satisfied with the entire experience and would definitely use them again as well as recommend them to friends.

I scheduled the appt to have an estimate. He took measurements and gave me an estimate. When I made my decision and paid the down payment, they ordered the window. It came in earlier than estimated. They called to schedule the install and arrived on time to install. Very professional and cleaned up all the debris as he went. Very pleased.

It wentvery well and we're totally satisfied. Th work was done as scheduled and promptly--installer cleaned up well. The pre-buying experience was greatas wll. The salesman was not pushy and gve us all the options and answrd all of our qestions. Once we selected the item he was always availble for questions both before and after the installation. Would definitey recommend their services!

My whole experience was great. Very professional. They put three new doors on in one day. They were prompt on all the appointments. Kept us posted on the progress while the doors were being made. These doors were replaced at my parents home but I setup everything and as the saying goes if Momma ain't happy, no one is going to be happy - well she is very happy! I have already recommended them to a relative and will definately use them again in the future. They have a huge selection to choose from. The doors are super sturdy, highly insulated and have really changed the sound to the room since the old doors were wood doors.

Everything was good. I can't complain. They got everything done in one day - that really stood out to me.

Initial work overall was good lifetime guarentee is on sliding glass doors. Had problems with two of them. Follow up on problems was not good service. Finally came out, said they would be back in touch as whole door might have to be replaced and never heard from them.

Great. They came out for an estimate, and offered a coupon to take $100 off each window. After about 6 weeks, the windows came in and they installed them without any issues.

Even though he sells windows himself, he provided alternatives for my situation. After that, he still gave me a price to match--as best as he could--the other windows. They have wonderful staff and had fair pricing. The storm windows that were on my home had been provided by Hess--a long time ago.
