It was the most horrible and upsetting experience for my not just my husband and I but our poor dog as well, and she is still not healed up. On Tuesday Sept 29,2020, it will be 3 weeks since her 1st surgery and here we are on her 3rd one!! On Sept 8th she had her surgery and on Sunday Sept 13th I had to call she was bleeding and has been so swollen. I kept trying to call but no one answered and never gave me an information on if it was an emergency. Finally after trying like four times someone answered the phone and she said I was lucky she answered because usually at that time no one did. It was about 3pm. She said it should have given me an option for if it was an emergency, I told her it did not. She even called from her own cell phone and came back on and said oh the phones must be messed up again. She reached out to the doctor and said to bring Lilly in the next day. They kept her and I got a call around 8pm from the nurse saying Lilly was running almost a 104 temp. She also had a lump on the back of her knee area, which we knew and was one of the reasons we had called on Sunday. That evening around 10pm the veterinarian and she was saying how worried she was about Lilly. Talking about maybe having to amputate her leg. She mentioned numerous times maybe something was left in during the surgery. That night was not the only time she mentioned about maybe something was left in from the surgery. So on Tuesday Sept 15th they took her back into surgery and removed something from behind her knee but never really told me what. She had to say overnight again. And amazing after they removed what was behind her knee her fever and swelling went away!! When we went to pick her up it was another $871.00 for medication. My husband took her back on Sept 22nd, Lilly would not let her near her so she never examined her and sent her home. Now they know Lilly is like that why are you not prepared for her? Why did you let her leave without examining her? She told my husband in the exam room { it was only my husband and the doctor in the room, no nurse} that she wanted to take her stitches out but since Lilly wouldn't let her never her she would wait till the following Tuesday and they would have to use sedation to get them out. I called a few days after her 2nd appointment to find out if Lilly would just be dropped off since they would be sedating her. The nurse looked { I think she looked} and said they are not sure if they will need to sedate her or not, and that the doctor never said the stitches should have came out on visit number two or that she was going to sedate her. Now why would my husband lie about that and no one was in the room but the doctor and my husband so they have no clue what she said to him. She also said to my husband how Lilly is recovering as well as she should. Well duhhh she had to have a 2nd surgery so of course she was going to be behind. I called them numerous times wanting answers on what happen in the 1st surgery and no one will give me a straight answer. I was extremely upset as anyone would be. On Monday Sept 28th both my husband and I called 3 times because Lilly had something sticking out on both sides of her knees. The first time I called they said the doctor was in the other location and would have her call me back, well she never did, then my husband called and they told him she was not in the office but was receiving messages and she would call him. He left his phone number with them. Still no one called back so I called again. I said I want someone to call me back this is ridiculous that they don't call back and lie when you call. Finally a nurse called me back and said the doctor is not in but they told her and she will look at her in the morning at her appointment and that she was not calling people back that day. So why didn't anyone tell me that from the beginning??? At the appointment on Sept 29th the doctor was not friendly by any means because we wanted to know what is going on and why is she having this issues. Then she started talking about maybe it is bone cancer!! I questioned her because Lilly has had so much bloodwork and x-rays done. She tried to tell me that you can not detect cancer in bloodwork not ever on a human. Again Lilly really would not let her touch her, so just like my husband said that she said the week before they were going to have to sedate her for the stitches. My husband also asked about what is sticking out on both sides of her knee. She said she was going to have to x-ray her again and that's when she mentioned the bone cancer. The vet called my husband around 11am and said that the piece sticking out is the crimp tube that holds the suture material in place. She can't tell if the material slipped out of the tube or if the sutures just slipped but it is sideways. They have to go back in and and either tighten it or replace it. Again after the surgery never got answers, the vet's 1st story was Lilly must have jumped on it or something. My husband said no she is back in our bedroom away from the other dog and is so drugged up she did not jump, then she tried making up other excuses. So today Sept 30th my husband goes and picks her up and we have over another $1000 bill!!! He told them no way are we paying this, he said a butcher could have done a better job then them. The girl at the front rolled her eyes at him. Sorry that is rude!!! He called me from there and I told them get me my dog, get me the medical records and this is ridiculous what has been going on. Three surgeries in 3 weeks!!! And the vet said to me numerous times about maybe something was left in during the surgery, Now no one is going to keep saying that unless it did happen that way and why should I be financially responsible for their mistake!!! They never told my husband what time she had her last meds, never told him nothing!! I called to find out and they did tell me when she had her meds last but they were suppose to call me back because they said yesterday about her medications being refilled. Well we are 3 hours later and no call back. Almost 8pm and nothing!!! How unprofessional can you be. This is suppose to be a veterinarian office, people that are suppose to love and care for animals. Well I can tell you first hand they don't. Stay far far away!!! And yes I am doing a formal complaint against the whole office. I never want anyone else's animals or the owners to go through what we are going through!!! Oh and every time I call I get a different answer.

We could not be more disappointed with our experiences at Hamilton Animal Care. We brought two adult cats in for check-ups using curbside drop off on June 4. We never entered the building, paid with a card, and were told only that the first of our cats would need to come in for a booster a few weeks later, but not the second. We were NOT told at the time that EITHER cat needed any ongoing medication. We arranged the follow-up booster for the first cat and completed it a few weeks later, thinking that everything was fine. Nearly six weeks later we received an alarming notification that the second cat was at risk for losing his vaccination effectiveness because he was nearly past the point for his booster even though we had been told specifically in the parking lot that he hadn't needed one. So, we very quickly arranged to bring him in the following day for his booster (having to pay for ANOTHER individual office visit, which we would not have needed to do had we brought both cats for boosters at the same time). Again, we thought we were finished, but then, yesterday, over three months after our original visit, we received a phone call that we never came in and picked up the flea and tick medication for which we were charged $140 back in June during the original parking lot visit. Again, at the time, we were never informed of any medical prescription, and had we been, we would have declined flea and tick medication because our cats are indoor only. We demanded that Hamilton Animal Care refund the charge, but in an exchange that was completely crazy-making, the person on the phone informed us that they could not do so because the medication had already been removed from their stock (from one shelf to another in their own office), so they could not take it back. Moreover, they told us that we had signed the receipt for the medication back in June, even though we had never been told about it and paid with a card in their parking lot, having never even entered their building. How could it take over three months for them to inform us that we never picked up this medication (which they had never told us about in the first place)? Only after several minutes of angry wrangling on the phone did they agree to the refund. We really don't know if the problem at this office stems from incompetence or a business model specifically designed to bring in as much revenue through unnecessary charges and office visits, but whatever the reason, we are done with this business, and we STRONGLY recommend using another veterinary office.

The first time we used them was 15 years ago.  It was mandatory through the Humane Society that you had to check him in. They have great and caring doctors.

They are wonderful. Record indicates that she actually is due for a health and check up services and she has been going there since she is a puppy and before that I took my cat there. They are very nice and courteous and they tell you what all that they need, see you can check out as there are any free clinics or whatever if you can't afford, sometimes it can be expensive, if you don't have the insurance and as long as you keep them all up to date on the shots and I actually always take that stuff in with that if anything available and take advantage of it. One time my cat swallowed she was running around with spool of thread hanging behind her and I had no idea how much she ate and they got us through that and that was a harrowing day. They are very kind and very clean. I think they have a boarding service there as well. I haven't used it, but some of my neighbors have. In fact I took my niece there with her cat that was dying of cancer and they just diagnosed her and they gave her the treatment option. She was suffering to the point where she couldn't eat. She was falling asleep with her head and it was just awful as painful as it was they made it not as painful as it had to be and then a year later and they sent a condolence card to her, which I thought was very nice. They gave us time to sit with her and take her time and let them know when we were ready that was a very hard day. I would absolutely always use them.

The visit went extremely well. The vet techs and veterinarian all were extremely informative and helpful. They understood every one of our concerns before addressing them. We are very pleased with their service. The only reason I gave it a "fair" rating for price was I was unaware of other companies prices but it seemed about right for everything we got.

They were good and nice. The prices were a little on the high side. I think they go the high price route instead of being price conscientious for the pet owner. They do well with their scheduling so there isn't a long wait.

The staff and vets at Hamilton Animal Care are professional, courteous and caring. Treatments and medications are always reviewed in detail, and we always get a follow up phone call to make sure the dog is responding the way he should. Generally, we see Dr. Lim, who deals with both us and the dog in a very professional manner. Based on my experiences, I would highly recommend this veterinary office.
