after having problems getting a structural engineer I called Glenwood. From the first phone call to Al's site visit and the delivery of the plans I couldn't be more pleased. Everyone was friendly and helpful throughout the process. I would highly recommend them for any project.

I think there are some dishonest people in this business and its a shame that it scares people away and certain people believe that it is ok to operate like a crook. Glenwood Engineering has been great. Maher and Sue are great people to work with and understand Philadelphia code as well as ethics. I empathically want to give them more business because they were honest, affordable and although I have not received my drawings yet I trust that they are doing the right things and have qualified people working.

Needed a structural engineer to look at a house I was buying, where the home inspector had raised some concerns about an addition built by a previous owner. Glenwood was able to schedule an appointment within 48 hours, and I got a letter from the engineer that same night with a clear description and recommendations. Price for inspection + a brief letter (not a full report) was very reasonable.

I reached out and set an appointment with Glenwood Engineering. I arrived at the property and they weren?t there. When I reached out to them, they had cancelled the appointment after the admin in my office confirmed that I would be there. When they finally sent him back out, The inspector was given the wrong address which took him to the other side of town. He then told me he'd be canceling the appointment because he was driving too much. Overall I waited 2 hours for them to finally get there. The report itself was thorough and met our needs. However the customer service really left a bad taste. They need to ensure they have the correct address and contact information when setting up the information. I was under the impression that all of the information was in the Home Advisor request. Because they wasted a lot of my time that day. I weren?t even given a credit or anything for the mixup which was all the fault of the company. But was sure to make sure the invoice got to my correct email.

Glen wood responded quickly. Called ten other companies and none of them called back. Could not rate pricing because I had nothing to compare it with .

Friendly. Responsive. Very helpful in assessing issues surrounding our sloping floors in the house and helped us determine the cause. Also gave excellent advice on how to move forward on repairs and what we should expect to pay a contractor to do them well.

They were excellent. They are respectful of your time, professional and extremely helpful. If you have questions they are patient and willing to provide you with information to help you complete your project. I would definitely recommend them.

This Engineer (Al) met me the same day our inspection showed structural damage to joists after demolition and I had the plans back in a great turn time. There was a hickup with plan review and they had a letter to the plans examiner within 48 hours with explanation.
