Under the PPO plan, we get access to the doctors we want and the deductible and co-pays are set by our company's policy, rather than by Capital BC. Their explanation of benefit (EOB) statements are largely impenetrable; only my wife, through years of diligent follow-ups, knows how to make any sense of them and, even then, we would sometimes have a better understanding if we sacrificed a live chicken and read the entrails. That said, our coverage seems pretty good and the amounts we end up paying after C-BC has disallowed what it considers too much is usually much more manageable.
Phone calls do get answered and they do their best to explain EOBs in layman's terms. So, we can recommend them, but make sure you understand what your EOBs are telling you.

They have a lot of different plans, depending on what you or your company choose to go with. Sometimes it's difficult to navigate deductibles, etc - but it is like that with all health plans from what I have experienced. They have been good to work with thus far, no complaints. Would recommend them to others.

Health insurance is always confusing - Capital Blue Cross has reports that are easy enough to understand. If you need help, service reps are professional.

They are my insurance provider through work and I've never had any problems with them. They also provided a lot of books and a breast pump rental for our baby. I like how a nurse will call and check on you if you have any medical problems.

We have had many healthcare insurance providers over the years. Capital Blue Cross has been a very pleasant surprise. Though all health insurance is expensive, the service provided by Cap BC has been very punctual in responsiveness to claims. There have been minimal errors and relatively simple procedures for filing of claims. There have been other insurance companies that we have had complaints about, but Capital Blue Cross has been very efficient, accurate and has included almost all of the providers that we have wanted to use.

Their service is good and as far as their rate, I don't have to pay for it so I don't know about their rate but I never had any problems with them. It's free so I'm going to use them now.
