Bossert's Custom Refinishing

I called this company.  Garin answered the phone, responded to my questions and set up a day and time to look at the proposed project.  He arrived in a well-identified, well-maintained small truck at the stated time.  He introduced himself with a warm smile.  On looking at the pieces of furniture, he was able to assess their condition and what it would take to do a restoration.  He quoted me a price which I accepted.  Then, because the jelly cupboard is an old, handmade piece, he was able to disassemble it on the spot in order to more easily load and transport it.
About six weeks later, the predicted time for completion of the two jobs, both pieces came back beautifully restored and refinished.  I was so pleased, I gave Garin another two pieces to work on.  I highly recommend this firm; they work wonders.

Garin from Bossert's came to our home, examined the furniture, and then took it with him.  It was clear he loves what he does, which left us reassured that he'd take great care of both pieces.
He returned the older desk first, after having completely disassembled and cleaned it.  We can't tell where the repairs were made, and he used a teak oil (I believe) that gave the piece a rich tone.
With the second desk, the only reason we can even tell at all that it had ever been damaged is because we know the exact spot where it was broken.  It looks  beautiful now, and it, too, was cleaned and polished.
We had a disagreement over the bill, but it turned out to be entirely our fault.  (We insisted we'd never seen an estimate for the work before it was done.  We were wrong; it was right there, on the Bossert work order!)  Through it, though, Garin was polite, professional, and I believed him when he said he his main goal in doing any project like this is to please people with the restoration of their belongings -- especially when they have meaning to the owner, as does my mother's antique desk.
I would trust Garin and his staff with any piece of furniture in our home, knowing the work would always be done with the greatest of care!
