Apgar Oil & Energy

I have been with Apgar for 4 years, did not know they were sold till last year when the one tech and I were talking. He said they were sold 3 years ago. Since then I notice the customer service has really gone down. I have to call everytime I am running low on oil, even though I am on a schedule.I'm also on a budget plan and they try to take the full payment. March I mailed 2 checks, 1 dated for March the other for April. I put a note in the envelope with a post note on each check. They cashed both checks in March and overdrafts me, and I was charged an overdraft fee.I asked for service to come to clean my furnace and check my Ac, still waiting for a call back. I'm not waiting, I'm going to another company. They are NOT a family run company for over 77 years, they were sold to another company a few years ago.

Great! Apgar was responsive, prompt and very informative. If I proceed with doing the work I will definitely call them back. Very good experience.

Ran out of oil and called to get an emergency fill this afternoon - I was told someone would be out shortly and they would call back. After Two hours, no call- my husband called their office again to check, we were again told that a truck would be out after their current service call. Two more hours- no truck....we called again, after being given the run around for 15minutes, we were THEN informed, we were originally lied to. No one was coming to deliver fuel and no one would be available to come until Monday- two days no heat because they lied. Had we been told no one was in the FIRST time, we may have been able to reach another company. Now it's almost 9pm, and we have no options but to freeze till Monday now! Outrageous!

They are fabulous. I had another company install a new heating system and I'm not sure they knew what they were doing, The system stopped working. The other company said they could not help me because it was an oil tank. This was for a house 5 days before closing. I called Apgar. They sent someone out that day. $300 later, they basically told me I had a clog in the line and they cleared it out. It's running and it immediately passes inspection. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I wouldn't use anyone else. I bought a brand new oil burner from another vendor. The unit was still under warranty but the other vendor, could not fix it. On short notice, Apgar came out, provided oil, fixed a clogged line in the tank and got the system running, all within one day and only charged me $300. I should have bought the oil burner from Apgar and will do all future business with Apgar.

They're a good company. They provide a good product, are very timely and do a good job. The quality of the work was very good. It was excellent. They were actually early and got everything done on time. They were very professional. I use them every year to clean the furnace.

Was with an other company for automatic oil delivery.  Although I had contacted them several times, and my 275 gallon tank was near empty, I could not get oil delivered in this frigid winter.  Apgar very promptly responded and delivered that day, and set up automatic deliveries that would actually happen.

Went great, they actually installed the two systems at two different times(months apart).  The house was totally redone.  they installed the systems as i was ready for them.  When summer came and i started using the A/C.  I was having high humidity issues.  They worked with me in the process of elimination. They also educated me on how only two indoor units were (no one was living in the house at the time) needed for the A/C and the proper settings for them.  It was also found that both outside units were slightly over pressurized and this was corrected.  Note:  the Fujitsu systems worked great during the winter months.  I would absolutely use Apgar Oil Co. again.  In fact I also used them for some minor plumbing and used them to supply my oil furnace with oil.  the oil furnace was only used as a backup, the Fujitsu systems work down to about (i believe) 5 degrees.

Signed up on line over the weekend.  Got call and repair person Monday AM.

Made their 1st delivery. Unlike one of their competitors who had a lower price but were almost impossible to do business with, I didn't have to be there when they made the delivery with cash on hand or be present to write a check. We came home from X-mas travels to find a full tank, an invoice & mailing envelope. I wrote a check, put it in the mail, and that was that. The office people I dealt with prior to the delivery were great. They made becoming a new customer very simple. In a competitive industry like this, nothing else makes sense if it's within your delivery area and you can give credit card # as a guarantee of payment.

I've used them for about 9 years and I've been satisfied with every aspect of their service.

It is a smaller locally owned business that has good customer service.
