"Hello [Member Name Removed], Just wanted to send you a note that even professional window cleaners on occasion can not see smudges from time to time. This has a lot to do with the position of the sun during the cleaning. That is why we have and always will guarantee our work. If you see a few smudges we are more than happy to touch them up for you free of charge. Just let me know and we can put you on our schedule. My best, Bryan Hettinger Owner Pure-Pro LLC 866-855-6121"
"Mr. [Member Name Removed], We explained to you that we could help you with the screen repair and that would be an additional cost for the materials and time. You told us that YOU wanted to get the materials to save a few bucks and that you would have the materials ready when we arrived. You then waited until after our crew was done cleaning the windows to go to Home Depot to get the materials. This left one of my crew members waiting for you (on the clock). You then returned with the wrong materials and got upset that it didn't work out. I spoke with you on the phone and you explained your frustration. As a courtesy I voided your entire invoice (including the window cleaning) which you were happy with. What my crew, my sales people and myself learned from this experience is to not engage into a project that we do not have full control over. If you would have allowed us to pick up the parts needed to repair your screen this would have been a non issue. In the long run you cost our company a few hundred dollars, you were charged nothing and you left us this review. Sorry things did not work out for you on this project and best of luck to you with your future endeavors. My best, Bryan Hettinger Owner Pure-Pro LLC"
I have had a lot of workmen in my house over the years and this crew was one of the best. They were professional, detail oriented, courteous, trustworthy and pleasant to be around. I began to notice how wonderful my windows were beginning to look almost immediately. They worked tirelessly from 9am to 5pm. As the end of the first day drew near, the owner pointed out that he was not pleased with how some of the storm windows had turned out (they were a little streaked) and he told me he wanted to redo them the following day. They obviously take great pride in their work and brought the issue to my attention before I noticed it on my own.
I do not have an easy house to work on. It is 115 years old with three stories so there is a lot of ladder work. The windows are nine over nines, nine over ones, stained glass and leaded glass. My storm windows are old and some of them stuck. It also has a sun porch with over 100 windows. None of this phased anyone on the team and they just kept rolling with whatever they were faced with. By the time Pure Pro was finished, my whole house looked amazing. The windows sparkled and there was absolutely no mess left behind. Every window sill had been wiped down and every item put back in its place. My neighbor commented that some of the windows didn't even look like they had glass in them.
I received a follow up call from Bryan a few days after the job to make sure I was completely satisfied.
Thank you for an excellent job. I will gladly recommend Pure Pro (Bryan, Mike, Aaron and Rob) to friends and neighbors!
The crew-- 3 young men, 2 super young looking as if they were high school students-- showed up to do the service on the assigned date and got to work. The crew leader was very good at informing me of windows with blown seals and explaining why those would not look as clean as the others. Fine. Later that afternoon before they left, I looked out a basement window and realized that neither it, or another basement window in the front had been cleaned. I pointed this out to the crew leader and he said they would get to those on their way out. I paid, and they left.
Shortly after they left, I went back into the room with the basement window and realized there was no way they had cleaned that window; ditto the one in the front, which was as filthy as when they arrived. Keep in mind, I had pointed this out to them before they left. Also, they did not re-attach an upstairs screen properly; the screen was literally hanging away from the window. I called the company immediately and they assured me they would send the crew back that afternoon. That did not work out (the crew got stuck on another job and a thunder storm was brewing), but what I appreciated is that the project manager and the owner (I think or manager) kept in contact with me, ensuring that they would return very soon.
Well, then my husband came home. The second he walked in the door he said, "I thought you said that the windows had been cleaned today." He pointed out that an outside sill had not been cleaned and that the front french doors had not been touched at all. He reviewed the contract again, which was pretty thorough about the window, sills, and screen cleaning and the like. Thereafter, he went through the entire house with a damp paper towel pointing out all of the spots (and there were many) where the crew had not even touched the sills. Needless to say, he was not pleased with the company, nor me from not doing a proper inspection. An opening in the schedule allowed the crew to come back the following day and this is where things got absurd. The owner/manager also came to the site (which I appreciated) and assured me the work would be done to my satisfaction.
So back they came. First, they seemed irritated and put out by having to come back (the crew manager who had been so friendly the day before walked in with no greeting). For there on, it was like supervising teenagers -- which is why I mentioned how young they looked earlier -- who claimed they have cleaned their rooms. They would "clean" a sill or window, I would walk behind them, check and say, "No, not done." Or they would tell me a window sill was done, and I would run my finger along it and say, "That's clearly not been touched," and they would have to re-do it. The worst was the French doors and the front basement window. The latter is nearest the front garden and so was caked with dirt. They had never touched them the day before -- not the glass, not the siding around it. They did something, but when I went behind them and swiped it with my finger, it was clearly still dirty -- visibly so. They would just glumly re-clean it with no sense of ownership. My point here: they too could see that the work had not been done thoroughly, and yet still did not take steps to rectify without my telling them (more than once sometimes) that they had not completed the work satisfactorily. The basement windows that they told me they had cleaned; same thing. "No, not done; do it again please." Absurd! And a week or so after they left, I looked at the side of one of the dining room windows and saw a series of dirty finger prints on a newly painted window; a parting gift I guess. I chose this company because I was impressed with their responsiveness, professionalism in arranging the work, and certainly how respectful and responsive they were when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the work. My husband doubted that they would return to remedy the work because I had already paid them, but their responsiveness to my calls allayed any concerns I had on that. So for that part, they get an A.
As for the actual work, I would rate it a D. The windows that they cleaned properly the first time were fine, but the lack of completion of the work, and the absence of attention to detail with some of the window sills and surrounding casing that they said they had cleaned was appalling. And unless I get a substantial discount for having to supervise the workers, it's not my job to micromanage contractors to check that they did what I contracted them to do. And then to have to point out that they have not completely done the job, and then have to repeat the claim several times is just an additional insult to injury. For these reasons, I would not recommend this company and will be seeking services from another when next we need the windows cleaned.
"Hello [Removed member name], I was shocked to read this review as I remember your project well. I know that the crew was under pressure the first night as a large storm was rolling in. When I cam out the following day to meet with you and address your concerns I thought that everything was then completed in a timely and professional manner. I had no idea that this is what then transpired. I am appalled that you were treated this way and I will be making staff and procedure changes based on this feedback. This is NOT what Pure-Pro is about and winning the Angie's List super Service award 3 years in a row proves that. I will have a check cut and mailed to you for a full refund of your project as a show of good faith. On average we service about 75 to 80 homes a month and I have never heard of anything like this happening with our organization. I hope that you enjoy the rest of your summer and thank you for brining this to my attention. Please feel free to call me with any further questions.
