Paul Knapp is excellent. He's just right up the street and we've been going to him for quite some time. He's reliable, honest, and works within your schedule. He is just an all-around great person to take your car to. He has an overnight service where you put your keys in an envelope and fill out a form. Then he calls you the next day. The service was about $212 and the state inspection and emission were like $70. He's very good. His prices are very reasonable. My daughter's car wasn't responding so she took it up to him. He said they're really backed up and he might not be able to get it to her the next day, which is Saturday. But he called her and told her that he took a look at it and it's good to go. He changed the spark plug and all the stuff. If my daughter can be up there by 5 to 7, they can get it to her. He knew she needed the car to get to work. He accommodated her even though he has other cars to look at. He's really good at getting the job done when needed. If he can't do it, he always lets you know and tries to work on your schedule. He is a great businessperson. We tend to use him quite frequently.

We brought a preowned handicapped van to Knapp for inspection before we purchased it. The van did have some rust on the body which the dealer said he would and did repair. When I brought the van to Knapp I asked the mechanic to pay special attention to the undercarriage for rust or corrosion. The mechanic said that because of the handicap conversion he could not see everything but that what he saw looked good. We bought the van on his approval.-$18,000. When we brought the van back for inspection this May the same mechanic said it was so rusted it could not pass inspection without extensive repair by a specialized company.-$2,000. The company who did the repair said to look for another vehicle as rust would be an ongoing problem with this van.
Knapp could not explain how the van could have deteriorated to this extent in less than a year. We did not even put enough mileage on the van for it to require the emissions test. I know that if the mechanic had done what we paid him to do we would not have bought the van.
In closing I would like to say that this mechanic is not unknown to us nor are we to him. He has done work on our vehicles for years. Not anymore. We must have caught Steve on a bad day. The most costly mistake of my life.

They have a great service, they checked the car out perfectly and made sure the tires were okay, as well. They are very honest and trustworthy.

Knapp's Auto Repair it is a wonderful company. My husband's chair lift had a battery that was connected to the chair lift and we had to recharge the battery every night. Paul was able to connect the battery to the car so we don't have to charge it anymore.You can ask Paul anything and he can do it. I recommend his services especially to handicap people.
