THEY ARE TERRIBLE BEYOND BELIEF. Started out not getting delivery arranged for another week because they didn't start doing their work till they were sure to have deposited all the money. Sales department forgot to tell the factory to schedule us, so we lost another week or two. Sales department stories are very hard to believe, and someone else is always at fault. Factory crew handles the inside area, and they seem to know what they are doing. Sales handles set-up and outside, and it is all screwed up. Terry Jones wanted me to have the electrician hook the heat pump (which we have yet to see) breaker to a plug the set-up crew left hanging. Set-up crew forgot to do tie downs and turns out (I finally found that out by calling the state). I paid $400 for what we thought was going to be an 18X46 opaque window because we couldn't get the same as in the family room; turns out to be a 8X46 opening gunslot.
Description of Work: I paid $184,000 for a manufactured home, so I could be on the property with my ill parents quickly. Terry Jones, at Palm Harbor, told me the house could be done in ''conceivably 3 to 4 weeks.'' It has been 4 months since they were paid (They only accept cashiers check for the final payment), and my home is no where near done. It took 34 days for them to work enough for the roof to look complete, but it failed state inspection. They have been back, but it still will not pass. I do not know when they, if ever, will finish. The next route against them is to file with the contractors board, as the 30 day notice I had to give them is about up, and nothing has happened. The sales manager, Dave Conway, was on site last Friday 10-27-06 (to see if what I was telling them and was in his salesmans pictures from 2 weeks before was true), and he said he was ''ashamed'' of the work, but nothing has happened. Feel free to call me if you have questions.
