Vasiliy is an amazingly talented craftsman with many talents and years of experience. Our nearly 100 year old deteriorating brick chimney was leaking water into the interior of the house and had to be repaired. Vasiliy came highly recommended to me by one of the best contractors in Portland, and I called upon him to fix it. The chimney was red brick, but Vasiliy suggested a lighter, golden color brick as it was more economical. Since our house is yellow, the golden color looked even better than red brick would have, and I saved money. The chimney is beautiful, and the repair/rebuild was so well done that Ithink it will last another 100 years,

I got several bids for rebuilding my chimney which was falling apart due to a poor 1924 foundation. Vasiliy was by far the most informative and punctual contractor I considered. It went very well. It was a very good bid. We wanted it done in bricks that matched some exterior parts of the house. Those bricks were from 1969. He managed to find bricks that were the exact same so the chimney matched the exterior

Vasiliy examined the chimneys and fireplace and submitted a comprehensive estimate. I was impressed by his thoroughness and also by the fact that he did not try to sell me work that I did not need. Even though we had several episodes of snow and freezing rain after that, he began my job when he originally estimated he would. They began by erecting scaffolding and also had safety structures on the roof around the work areas. Vasiliy was very good about telling me what they were going to do and when they were going to do each thing. They were very thorough and methodical, taking the chimneys down, cleaning the bricks, and rebuilding the chimneys to code and repairing my fireplace. At the end of each day, Vasiliy made sure everything was secure before he left. During a weekend with a windstorm followed by record rainfall he called the first day to ask if there were any problems (there weren't) and, the second day, he came over and went up on the roof to make sure all was well. I'm very happy with the finished product and with Pacific Chimney's work process. I expect to call them in the future for other projects.
