The installation of the new Bryant H VAC and the reconfiguring of the duct work to separate the upstairs from the downstairs was carried out in a supremely efficient manner. This aspect of the work gets the A - excellent mark. He installed a new Daikin heating/cooling system for the bottom level of the house. For the first time, the whole house is easily and pleasantly warmed. Don't have the Pacific Power bill yet to see if it's cost effective. This work was carried out in a very punctual and professional manner. He took the time to explain any aspects to help me understand the operation of both the Bryant and the Daikin systems. I have confidence in every aspect of his work.
The other work that was done - insulation, air sealing, duct sealing, windows and ground covering - is good work as far as I am able to evaluate. Communication could have been better. I didn't know what was going to happen when and this lead to a lot of extra work for me. They installed the bathroom fans without notifying me that this was going to happen - so I had things out that then had to cleaned and put away. Downstairs, a lot of clean linens got covered in clean and dirty insulation dust and had to all be washed again; my entire downstairs was so covered in dust and debris that I have cleaned for weeks and still am not to the bottom of it. There were chunks of insulation in boxes that were closed. The dust was deep into cushions and pillows. Christmas ornaments that were in boxes and bubble wrapped inside plastic containers were crushed. It is true that the crew had to move a lot of my things to work. I was, at first, totally unaware of where they would be working and when, and then later, unable to move things myself. Communication and consideration would have helped this situation.
At the same time, the crew did build a special structure to protect the outdoor Daikin unit as a favor to me and they did clean up most of the debris and products no longer needed (the old H-VAC unit, old insulation and so on.) They swept and shop-vacked. They really went after the under house work with a flourish.
And the overall cost of my project - WOW! For the parts that I can't evaluate - such as: did they seal every joint in my duct work? Are the attic and knee walls all insulated and tyveked? This is where the professional attitude and respect for personal and private space would be helpful. It would build confidence in the consumer that every aspect of the job was done to perfection. Maybe it was!
I appreciate the sincerity of Joe and his crews. And I am mostly satisfied. The work extended over a very long period of time. And Joe endeavored to make all things right. My house IS more comfortable this winter, and this was a huge part of my goal.

Their prices seemed to be comparable to the other bids that we got from companies in the area. I would consider using them again in the future if the need arises.

Joe and his crew arrived promptly, completed all of the tests in a very short time, and were great about letting me know exactly what each test was being done for, and the results of each test. The crew was very professional, and worked well together. My home is so much more comfortable after having the ducts sealed, and I have now retained their services to put in some low E windows. I would definitely hire this contractor again, and they will be my "go-to" company for any further weatherization needs that I might have I would also like to add that Joe filled out all of the paperwork for my weatherization report, and submitted it for me to the proper place for my rebate.
