Fine, he diagnosed the problem and made the appropriate repairs. There was more rot than appeared. He carefully pulled off siding to he got to good wood. He then replaced the rotted wood and replaced the siding.

The walls and ceilings look flawless. Randy managed to completely mask the rough orange peel finish formerly on all of our interior walls and ceilings. He then masterfully sanded down all surfaces to produce the smooth finish we have now. This has had a noticeable impact on the look of each room. Spaces feel much brighter with the new smooth walls and ceilings. Randy finished the work on time and on budget, and is a delight to work with.

He was outstanding in all areas: experienced, hard working, knowledgeable, organized, punctual, and tidy. Of course, he is busy so you may have to wait until his schedule allows, but he is well worth waiting for. His price seemed very fair and reasonable.

Randy gave us a clear estimate of the work to be done, explained other possible work that might be needed if he found additional dry rot, set the date for the work, arrived on time, did the work and checked with us along the way to report fin dingo.

Called Randy re leak. He came by and looked in attic, exterior and roof. I was leaving town so he adjusted his schedule, went to get materials and wrapped the entire chimney area to prevent further leaking while I was away. He returned when I came back to town, reviewed the area and we agreed he would monitor for any leakage but wait for better weather to do the work.

I supplied the materials, but wanted someone else to install these covers to areas that required getting on an extension ladder. I have previously used this company, and have been pleased with his work, rates, and attitude. It took just over an hour, but I paid him extra to make the trip worth it for him, and because I was relieved to find someone willing to perform such a minor job.

Excellent. Randy replaced some siding and patched some of the holes. Looks brand new. Returned calls on time, showed up on time, friendly. Great job.

My husband knocked over our mailbox during our recent snow storm. P.O. told us they would need to put our mail on hold and we wouldn't be able to reactivate delivery until we picked it up from the post office. Seeings how our street has been closed for 11 days (and will most likely reopen after several more days) the prospect of not getting mail looked pretty grim. We chose Oswego Home Repair over one other service because of the proximity to our home and their rate. Randy was able to make it up our hill and fixed the mailbox quickly. The final cost ended up being more than we expected, but considering the weather, the fact that it was Christmas week, and Randy's fast work, we have no complaints. Who wants to be without mail at Christmas?

Randy, called me back the same day I left messages for him. He met me at my house and provided me with a verbal estimate for the work I needed performed. I felt confident from our initial meeting that he knew what he was doing. We scheduled the work and he arrived on time. I was very pleased with the results.

Randy responded to my initial inquiry quickly, came to give me an estimate, and completed the work. I appreciated his quick response, and willingness to take on a small job. The work to be done was pretty simple, except that it's 12-20 feet off the ground. I didn't want to risk being up that high on a ladder. Randy worked quickly, but very carefully, and meticulously.

Randy is very attentive and responsive - more than any contractor I've ever used. He is very conscientious and checked in with me, even though I did not have a strict time line for the project. Randy is very personable, and I felt completely comfortable giving him a key to our home. He was respectful of our home and removed his shoes before entering. The space was already existing in our room (cut out for an optional closet space), but we needed help installing and finishing an actual closet. I ended up getting the doors from the manufacturer who supplied the rest of the doors in our home, but Randy picked up the doors and other materials. He installed drywall, the hardware for the doors and a shelf/rack inside the closet as I asked. I wish he would've painted the doors and trim panel for us, but he was clear up front that painting wouldn't be included. The job was completed as promised, and I would use Randy again for any handy work needed around our house.

He was prompt, punctual, very careful, good attention to detail. The attic stairs work better than the previous one did even before it got damaged.

Upon contact this was a positive experience. We worked out a time and plan and then we had to alter it. He called and let us know he was on a job nearby and asked if he could come over, and it all worked out very well. We were very pleased, have his business card, and will use it/him in the future.

Met with Randy to review work requested to replace rotted boards on front porch railing. He offered another (better) solution, using one long continuous rail cap rather than replace three short pieces. I then decided to replace the remaining potion of he railing to improve the overall appearance. When the desired lumber was not available on the initial date for the work, Randy suggested postponement and I agreed. He then completed the project as scheduled and overall results are good. He also removed an unwanted railing along the walkway. Work was completed in one day and cleanup was excellent.

Randy was easy to deal with through the entire job. He began on schedule, worked fast and finished surprisingly quickly, considering the problems he had to correct. The final price was over 50% more than the original estimate, which was based on the unlikely (to both of us) assumption that only the deck, porch and door would need replacing. Since the job's complexity unfolded only as he did it, the higher cost at the end wasn't a complete shock. But, considering that this became a time and materials job (rather than one with a firm bid), I would have liked to see a cost breakdown, which I didn't get. Randy's cleanup was somewhat incomplete. Considering that perfecting it would have added to his time, I didn't mind having to do a little of that. If I'd paid based on a firm bid, I would have been less comfortable.
