Sage Walker Construction

The roof on my home was in need of serious repair after the storm last year. I live out of town, so I spent 3 months calling around Newport looking for people to give me a quote, waiting for responses from people who didn't respond, calling people multiple times, etc.. One roofer (who I have also reviewed never even called me back even after looking at the job).  Just to say this was not easy and some roofers were simply not interested. The pitch on this old roof was so steep and dangerous, there were some unknowns all which these others couldn't wrap their heads around.
That being said, Sage Walker's name was given to me by a contractor that works with him and he felt that Sage would do a good job.  I talked to Sage on the phone and he went over and took a look. He was prompt and got back to me with an estimate in a few days.  His estimate was in line with the one other bid that I finally received with same materials and scope.  He seemed extremely knowledgeable, competent and straightforward.
Sage was up front about when he could start and he did so on the exact date.  He ran into a few problems with the condition underneath the shingles after he removed the layers of previous roofing materials.  He called me immediately and discussed the options and we moved forward. He and his crew did a fantastic job finishing in the time frame he originally stated working late to get things done. He left the property clean and sanitary, all a plus.
The thing I liked mostly about this provider is that he was very up-front, honest and explained the details of everything in a clear and concise manner. . He did not make me a promise he didn't keep. Today, this seems to be an anomaly with this profession.
I would certainly use him again and recommend him highly.
