Paul Gareau Construction

Paul Gareau coordinated our bathroom remodel, bringing in subcontractors to do electrical, plumbing, sheetrock, cabinets, tile and glasswork. Paul stayed on top of the work and scheduled the subcontract work well, losing almost no time between tasks. Additionally, Paul and his assistant did the construction portions of the job, following the plans of our designer. They were careful to protect our floors (coming in and out) and cleaned up after each day. Their work was excellent, including taking care of out-of-plumb walls and needing to shim and even adapt the redwood frame around a wooden window.
His team of subcontractors also did excellent work. When one of them (the cabinet makers) did not follow the plans and brought pieces that did not fit what we had requested or the plans, Paul worked with them and though rebuilding delayed the project, the final product was what we had requested.
The bill fit the quote we were given at the beginning of the job, except for a small additional electrical expense and an item left off the bid which we had to pay additional for. We were pleased with both Paul's construction quality and his management of the whole project. We had chosen not to get competing bids so, though we felt the cost was high (e.g. $710 for painting) at $17,000+, we accepted it.
All in all, I would recommend Paul Gareau Construction for remodeling and trust him to skillfully manage a complex job and follow the plans provided.
