KB Construction did a great job!! The deck is level, reinforced nicely and the support beams are double-reinforced, as they likely should have been to begin with.

Steve (the owner) came out to see what I was asking for him to do. Within a few weeks he was able to get the drawings from his detailer. He called and made an appointment to come out and review the plan that was drawn up. It included all that we had talked about including the pitch and and elevation that the roof line would follow. The vaulted ceiling with beams and posts and the douglas fir tongue and grove material. Also the new gutters. And the plans for the new posts and footings. After we agreed on the plans he submitted them to the city for review. He then ordered the materials. After the materials arrived Steve began his work. At first it seemed a little slow but that is when all of the concrete cutting and digging for the footings were being done. The city was called for every inspection that was needed on time. The work continued with out much delay, there were a few days
that Steve would have to view other jobs his crews were working on, he preferred not to leave much to chance and liked to check on the daily performance of each job. That is what he did with mine, it may have taken a little longer but I was very happy he did it this way. If there was a change to make I could  talk to him and it was done. We changed from knotty pine to doug fir to match the posts and beams which I was very happy with. He also took care of the electrical and tile contractors which was also included in his bid. They both were very professional showed up on schedule and did a superb job. The vera thane was the last part of the job but one of the most important to me, he gave it several coats and it turned out beautiful. I am very happy with the job and will certainly use his company on future projects.
