Internet Service
Clearwire requires a debit or credit card to deduct the monthly fees from your account. My payment was deducted every month on the10th.
On July 26, I called customer service, after trying for 5 hours to get online. I spoke with Billy, who told me the tower had been deactivated due to lack of customers. He then transferred me to Manuel, when I insisted I was due a refund, as Clearwire was charging me for services they were no longer offering. Manuel was no help at all.
The next morning, July 27, I called and spoke with Mary. I described the situation and she agreed to refund the charge for that month, $34.98.I also asked that she remove my debit card number from the file as it was no longer necessary for them to keep it.
On August 7 I called yet again, as the refund promised still had not happened. This time I spoke with Amy. This call lasted 1 hour and 1 minute, in which time I had to argue my case over and over. It was not until I told her I had documented all times and names of those I had talked with that she agreed to refund the charges.
On August 9 my refund was credited to my account.
