Ovi did a great job communicating all the steps to have this job done. I had the idea that it was going to be really messy but, they were very careful and clean. Th end result was beautiful. I appreciated their time and work.

We had hardwood installed in the entire house. The existing carpet and flooring had to be removed and new flooring installed. The folks at Treadline were fabulous through out the entire process. Kelly worked with us to understand the different flooring options and suggested samples to take home. She allowed us the time needed to make a decision since this was a big job. Once we made our choice, the process moved smoothly. The demo and install crews were friendly, professional and efficient. They worked with us to be as least disruptive as possible and were upfront with how much time each step might take. We are so happy with the results! High quality floors and installation at a reasonable price.

We engaged Treadline to complete a major flooring upgrade and expansion project in our home as part of a much larger home renovation project. We directly managed Treadline for the flooring project as well as 10 other contractors that worked on the other renovation projects in our home. We were very happy with the other contractors we engaged for our home renovation project. Their quality of work and professionalism has been amazing and we posted reviews to share our experiences with their businesses as well. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience and outcome with Treadline. Our experience with Treadline follows as experienced from our point of view. At the beginning of the flooring project with Treadline – we discussed the possibility to increase their project scope to also remove and update a half bathroom in our home. We received a written quote for the initial bathroom removal from Treadline’s via their DocuSign process. After reviewing this quote – we decided to not move forward with this additional project. We did not approve Treadline’s DocuSign quote and we also further communicated via email that we did not want to remove this bathroom. However, upon arriving home later that day, we discovered that Treadline had removed the half bathroom without our approval. Treadline’s response was that this was a ā€œmisunderstandingā€ and that this removal was at ā€œno chargeā€. We were clearly not happy at that time and we decided to focus on the success of the rest of the project with Treadline. We later surfaced this issue again and Treadline’s response was that we had ā€œorallyā€ approved this change over the phone (Treadline’s own contract language explicitly states that change orders can only be approved in written form and not orally) and that they were under time pressure that day and made a decision to remove the bathroom anyway. We were left without a bathroom for months while we tried to work with Treadline to arrive at a fair outcome to restore the bathroom to its original condition. To date – Treadline has not paid any amount for the restoration of our bathroom to its original condition and this resulted in a significant cost to us to restore this bathroom. Our second major issue with Treadline occurred towards the end of the flooring project once the floors had been stained and finished. Upon project inspection – we discovered flooring stain marks all over the walls and trim work in the each of the rooms that Treadline had worked in. Stain marks were often at heights over 3-4 feet high. We had expected some baseboard staining (as described in Treadline’s contract) but we were shocked to discover so many stains above the baseboard in each room. Treadline’s only response was that the stain could be washed off. Their employee tried to wash off some of the stain marks and this only made matters worse in spreading flooring stain all over the wall where attempted. We tried to work with Treadline to arrive at a fair outcome to address the significant paint damage to the walls and door trim in our home. To date – Treadline has not paid any amount to address the paint damage to our walls and trim work and this resulted in a very significant cost to us address this damage. Thankfully, we were able to successfully file and settle a claim with Treadline’s business liability insurance provider to address the paint damage to our home. The last major issue with Treadline surfaced about a month after the completion of the flooring project. At our request, Treadline added new hardwood flooring to the upstairs hallway in our home and this looked fine for the first 4-5 weeks after the installation was complete. However, the flooring boards soon began to separate throughout the new installation and we could see very significant gaps beneath the new flooring - often to the subflooring below. We tried to work with Treadline to arrive at a fair outcome to address the issues with the new hardwood flooring they had installed in our home. As part of this process, we engaged an expert with National Wood Flooring Association ([*** Link removed ***] to evaluate and assess the flooring installation. The expert provided their written professional finding that the new hardwood flooring had not been appropriately acclimated to the environment in our home prior to installation and the flooring had also not been nailed in correctly. To date – Treadline has not paid any amount to address the flooring installation issues and this resulted in a very significant cost to us to remove and replace the affected flooring areas in our home. We pursued the above issues over the past 18 months with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB); multiple mediation attempts and legal filing with the Washington County courts. We accepted a partial insurance settlement for paint damages only (insurance covers damage only and not quality of work) from Treadline’s business liability insurance provider. We also decided to forego further legal action given the increasing legal expense and continued negative impacts to our family and home life. We have not received any monies from Treadline to reimburse us for the cost to remediate the damage to our home or to address the quality of their workmanship.
Response from Treadline Construction
"While we recognize that the [Member Name Removed]'s were unhappy with their experience, it must be noted that their statement contains numerous inaccuracies and misstatements. It appears that they relied upon an ā€œexpert with the National Wood Flooring Associationā€ who violated that organization’s code of conduct in performing his inspection. We stand behind our work and our workers and always endeavor to make our customers’ experience to be as painless as home remodeling can be. That being said, some customers need to vent and to blame anyone they can. We recognize that and reluctantly accept that. If anyone has any questions or concerns about this review, please feel free to contact us. We’ve been in business for more than 15 years, have a great track record and can provide countless testimonials from customers who found us to have exceeded their expectations."

Treadline Construction was a pleasure to work with. Professional, prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. They provide you with an online packet that contains all the information you will need to know from start to finish. It was very helpful. The workmanship is absolutely beautiful! You will not be sorry you used them. Very happy with the entire experience.

Quality was good and they performed services right on schedule. The only minor complaints I have are that the stain got on my white baseboards and some on a door and wall and were not cleaned up. And I was told it was okay to enter the house after a couple of days, but the smell was overwhelming! I just wish I would have been warned so I knew what to expect. Otherwise, Kelly was great and the floors look fabulous!
Response from Treadline Construction
"We appreciate your comments. We do specifically state that stain will bleed onto baseboards and other surfaces, and touch up paint is always recommended and should be expected when we have completed our work. Depending on the type of finish used, there are often very strong odors, and each person has a different response to how strong those smell is. We recommend each customer make their own decision about returning to the house at their own pace. We also recommend opening up all doors and windows and if needed, having fans running the first day or so to help dissipate any residual fumes. These discussions are had both at our initial estimate appointment and then explained again in our contract. We are sorry to hear you felt our quality and professionalism deserved a B rating. We certainly try to go out of our way to address any concerns brought to our attention, but if we do not hear of anything, we cannot address. Glad to hear you are happy with how the floors turned out! Enjoy the transformation! Thank you for your business!"

This was a big job with maple floors in the kitchen, family room, entry, stairs and upstairs hallway. We are so happy with the new look and couldn't be more pleased with the quality of work from Alex, Oleksi and the team of guys who worked on our home. Their skills and professionalism were impressive and appreciated. Thank you Ovi, Kelly and all the guys!

Very well, beautiful job. I wanted an extra coat of Swedish oil finish and some other custom service, and was willing to pay extra for that. I got what I paid for and am a very satisfied customer. I will say that when floor refinishers use the term "Dustless" they're partly referring to the slogans of the vacuum sanding, exhaust and other systems they're using. Treadline does as well as, and better than, most companies can, but there's really no such thing as "dustless" when it comes to extensive sanding. So be prepared to do some follow-up cleaning on your own. Also be prepared for beautiful hardwood floors. Ovi & his crews are very good and very professional; Job Well Done!

This was one our best experiences in the remodel. We knew we wanted to install a wood product in our home, but had very little experience with all of the options out there. My wife was able to spend a couple of hours with Kelly helping her make decisions based on durability, price and the ability to repair damaged areas. We also had the bull nosing for out stairs made here to match the species of wood we selected. I would definitely recommend Treadline for all users, commercial or residential.

Ovi and his team have so much heart. They doubled back with us to make sure we were happy with every step of the process and addressed all of our concerns quickly and professionally - all while being extremely personable. Would recommend them highly to anyone looking to re-do their floors. Also, they won 2018 Wood Floor of the Year: [*** Link removed ***] Great job all around!

Overall it went well. The estimate and bid process was straight forward and the contract paperwork was extensive and professional. Jeff and Colin did the work and they were also friendly and engaging answering all my questions as they went. There was a small glitch at the end due to some drops of finish in the living room. When I pointed them out to Jeff, he immediately corrected the problem and was very apologetic that is happened. We are very happy with how great the floors look and how hard both Jeff and Colin worked to do such a great job.

It took about a week. They demolished existing flooring. Then they made sure all the rooms were at same level. Then oak flooring was delivered to acclimate to the heated space. The installers did a great job installing the floor. Then the new floor was sanded and a Swedish finish was applied to the new floor. All occupants including pets must find other accommodations during the finishing process. The smell is overpowering. When complete, baseboards were applied. This improved the appearance of the house 10 fold. My only issue was baseboard installation. The baseboards were ordered too short for the job and were spliced creating a lot of seams.

It went awesome. This company is super professional and really knows their craft. Ovi the owner was super patient with us in the color selection process and gladly had his team perform several test swatches until we got the color just right. The 2 man team that was onsite was super professional, always on time, communicated clearly and did an absolutely wonderful job. I have referred them many times and would not hesitate to use and refer them again!

Treadline was a joy to work with from start to finish. They listened to my needs and wants with regard to my wood flooring and really educated me in the differences between products and finishes so i got a high quality, durable, gorgeous floor that is holding up beautifully after 18 months of high traffic with kids and dogs. Their crew was a delight to have in our home and the workmanship was flawless. The owners are full of integrity and we highly recommend this company.

Charged me $25 for a quote. Then their quote was $3750 to refinish 300 square feet, do some small repairs, and to install baseboard. Other companies quoted half that. Their response is they charge a minimum of $2750 and it's $1000 for the minor repairs. Ovi gave me the vibe of used car salesman-- complete lack of empathy, shifty, shady.
Response from Treadline Construction
"This customer did not have the work performed with us, and is false in her statement that any services were performed. We provide verbal quotes for all prospective projects over the phone, and let everyone know that our minimum set up fee is $2750 prior to scheduling any on-site estimate appointments. That was no different with this customer, she was informed of the minimum set up fees and given verbal estimates for patching and repairing areas, as she described them over the phone. She opted to move forward and pay for an on-site estimate, which we charge $25 for. This $25 fee covers the time for our estimator to drive out to a customers home, ensuring they are there, and then spending 45 minutes to 1 hour with the customer about their project, and put together a written, detailed bid based upon the meeting. If the customer elects to have the work performed with us, we will then credit back the $25 estimate fee on the final invoice. In regards to the repairs and patching needed, these repairs were very complicated do to the fact that her existing flooring is laid directly on the joists, and the joints of the existing flooring are not sitting on the joists, therefore there are structural components to the repairs. The time and labor associated with these repairs was priced at our standard hourly company rate. In addition, we use Journeyman level carpenters for this work, that are in-house, W-2 employees that have been background checked and drug screened. We do not subcontract out and we do not provide handyman or day labor services. We appreciate the feedback and wish her the best in her flooring project."

The crews were experienced, detail oriented, polite and showed up when they said they would. The price was competitive and we were very happy to have one contractor managing the project so we could avoid the nightmare of someone not showing for a small job. Ovi and Kelly are knowledgable, patient and quick to respond to any concerns. The job didn't begin until all materials were on hand, and it was completed on schedule. We love the finished product and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Absolutely terrific & seamless experience from first phone to setup an estimate to the final day when I saw the beautifully refinished hardwood floors. Treadline was responsive, prompt, knowledgable, and friendly. They also noticed (which other flooring contractors did not) an area by our refrigerator that was water damaged. Turns out the flooring had dry rot and had to be replaced. Nice catch! On top of that, the new floor (we added 400 square feet of new flooring) and existing flooring match perfectly and look absolutely outstanding. As one of our friends said to us about the quality of the flooring job, "You must be very pleased." We are!
