TERRA FIRMA FLOORING

At bid time, we requested worked to start on Sept. 7. After we handed over our $1500 deposit we got a text that they could not start that day and will be a day late. Showed up on Sept.8 at 10am(tuesday). Worked for 5.5 hours and left, reason being that they did not have enough material to finish stripping floors, because it was harder then originally expected. Said they would be there first thing wednesday morning. Did not show up for work on wednesday. Showed up Thursday and spent a full day stripping, did well. they finished up the following Monday. My wife took a look at the floors when still wet and paid the the rest of the $1500. The next day i was able to look at the floors when topcoat was dry. it looked horrible, there were grooves all over from the sanding left behind. I sent pictures and requested foreman to come take a look and see what the next step was. We sent up two appointments to have him come look and he canceled on me both times that week. I contacted the owner Sean, and he sent out his foreman a week later, floor was not cure enough to sand so we scheduled out 2.5 weeks later to have floors redone (Oct. 2). They told us to go ahead and move in all our furniture for the time being and they would hire mover to remove our furniture when they come back to work on the floors. Oct. 1 came and foreman contacted me and said he did not have anyone to move the furniture. So i got up early to move out he furniture, they did not show up Oct. 2, and said they will be there the next day. Oct. 3, only one guy showed up to do the work of what two guys took to do in a week. He only spent 1 day stripping that weekend in areas that where obviously noticeable, did not strip the old varnish along the walls. After he finished the topcoat again and it dried, we looked at the floors and saw that it was better but still showed the sander grooves in main area, the areas were he did not stripp the old varnish along the walls bubbled up and dried very rough along all the walls. In the hallway, you can see obviously where he resanded and where the old varnish line and new varnish lines where. it looked horrible. the hallways groove marked went into the office and all along the wall had the same sand marks. I called the owner and asked for my money back, in order to have another floor company come and do it right. He did not want to do that and insist on sending his guy to come fix it. However, after they botched up the job on both efforts, i am very really hesitant allowing them to work on the floors again. The good part was they only had time to mess up the main floor again and did not have the time to redo the second floor. I have requested the owner Sean to come look at the floor before any further work that may be done, but he has not been available. it has now been 3 months and i am still waiting to Sean to come review the work with me.
