I am a realtor and Erin Isle supplied a bid and provided new flashing and replacement Hardie siding around 4 windows with water penetration on behalf of my seller on one of my listings. Since home was being marketed time was of the essence. Connor was fantastic and bid, scheduled and completed the work in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost to the satisfaction of our buyer resulting in getting this home SOLD!

Steve is one of the nicest guys you'll meet. Very laid back. Didn't try to oversell or up-sell us. Listened to our needs/wants and gave us what we wanted. Didn't have much contact with the actual work crew but they seemed fine. I wasn't terribly impressed with a couple of the guys...but the job got done and, from what we can tell, done well.
They only sell one brand of windows, Simonton, which is a middle of the road window. However, they had great reviews on Consumer Reports so we went with it. They have a 'double lifetime warranty'..which we hope means that they're good enough that there shouldn't be a lot of issues. Can't imagine they would offer that if they had to constantly send out repair people.
Had them create a new opening/window in our entryway. We didn't want the inside framed with trim so the edges were a little rough and we had to have them fix that. My husband will smooth and finish.
Overall the communication was good but there were a couple of things that weren't conveyed to us until after the installation. They were items that couldn't have been changed anyway (code requirements) so it wouldn't have changed anything had we known sooner.
Connor did a great job of following up with the info we needed to file for our Energy Trust rebate.
Would probably hire them again if the need arose.

Erin Isle is mostly a siding company and they only sell one brand of windows, Simonton, which we had never heard of. We saw that Simonton had the top window on Consumer Reports, although it wasn't the same model we were getting, so we figured they must be doing something right/know their stuff. From what I was able to gather online Simonton is very comparable to Milgard. We had a Milgard quote for 'comparable' windows which came in $5k more. The windows seem to be fine...probably middle of the road. They came with a double lifetime warranty, which was a selling point.
Steve, the owner (?), is the a genuinely nice guy. He is, in fact, a large part of the reason we went with Erin Isle. You just feel like you can trust him. His son, Connor, was equally nice.
Communication was good, for the most part. The foreman on our job was a personable guy but overall we didn't feel quite as confident in the whole crew as we would have liked. Had to have a couple of walk throughs and call backs. I believe we're done at this point...think everything is finally resolved.
We may hire them again if the need arose.

I am the pickiest customer a builder could have. I focus on
the smallest details. Erin Isle has done 2 land houses for me and one floating
house over the last 18 years. This last project was my largest by far. I had
Steve Rumph (President of Erin Isle) do a complete customized exterior on a
$2400 square foot home that included fireplace installation, Oak sliding door, new
windows, new showcase entry, massive covered porch with stonework pillars and
stonework across the full length of the home. Hardy board siding was chosen
with a new staggered width pattern. Every detail was done to perfection.
Steve Rumph is a man of integrity and craftsmanship as is
his whole team.  When I needed changes he
made them to specification at reasonable costs. When construction errors were
found in the original construction done in 1980 he recommended cost effective
methods to resolve them. His project manager, Jerad Smith, was on site every
day and very responsive to my nit picking and resolved even the smallest whim.
I grew up in the home building trade and know quality when I see it. If you
want great value and great quality Erin Isle is your best bet in Portland
Oregon.

It was great. They featured the estimate. They did an excellent clean up job. I didn't know they were there. They were friendly and fast. I think they've done a good job. They gave me a good price. They were there when they said they'd be there. I definitely would use them again.

I was introduced to Steve (the owner) by my Realtor who thinks the world of him and I can see why. Steve initially came on during the house negotiation process to provide an estimate for window replacement, but he is a GC and can do so much more. The house is old with LOTS of work that needs doing, and Steve never flinched when I added another item to the growing list or changed my mind about a thousand times. He got my 'vision'. He also seemed excited about some of the changes I wanted to make and found ways to implement them without breaking my budget.
The foreman (if you can call it that on such a tiny job) was Jared. He made sure to keep me abreast of everything that was happening, gave me great ideas, and was just generally a pleasure to have around.
Despite all the idiosyncrasies of this old house, Steve and his team finished the job on time and did a beautiful job.
I still have bathroom and kitchen remodels to do and will definitely call Steve when I'm ready.

Steve is a fair minded business owner. He was on time to the estimates and provided good information. Slow to return phone calls at times. Installer "Mike" (guy had a dog in his truck) was a disaster. His work was sloppy, rushed the job, broke a new and an old window on the property, left the site early, and lied about his work. The job was scheduled for 2 days, and took 4 days spread out over the course of month due to the poor installation and two windows were re-ordered. We did all of the indoor cleaning and caulking which was supposed to be done by the installer. Steve did re-negotiate the final bill to compensate for the work we did and re-ordering the windows. Still, the house was torn up for a month, and we had the hassle of getting the work done to contract expectations. We love the brand of windows: "Alside."

Steve came by last year promptly when I called and asked for an estimate to replace all windows. I called on Steve in June to update and revise bid to include update on siding, adding cedar shakes & rock wall. During the project I was so happy with the level of craftsmanship & commitment by Steve & his crew in making sure I was satisfied with every phase of the project, I added the purchase & installation of a front and side entry door. After the project was completed Steve was happy to walk around our home with us to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Great Experience! I would highly recommend Erin Isle Construction to anyone looking for window replacement, updated siding & door replacement!

Steve was prompt, courteous, and did an excellent job with the interior frames. The job took longer than expected, but he made sure it was completed as quickly as possible. Steve is the owner of Erin Isle and I would highly recommend him to anyone.
