AMBER HOME INSPECTIONS

Jeff was the inspector for my home inspection, I think he's the owner.  Very professional and knowledgeable.  I called and spoke with Carrie in the office who set up an appointment for my home inspection for 1 week out.  Jeff arrived on-time (a few minutes early, in fact) and provided a report by the end of the day. I don't remember how many pages it was, but the inspection report was the most thorough I've ever had and as a result, I was able to talk the seller down by $20,000.00 (twenty-thousand).  So, the $375 I spent on the home inspection was a great Return on Investment. 
As mentioned, every aspect of the 75 year old house was inspected inside and out, top to bottom.  Jeff was like a detective on a crime scene-no detail left out.  I've been working on the house now for nearly 2 months and all the repairs we were told needed doing were right on, and everything that didn't need doing are still clear to star board.

Because we used Jeff before for our own home inspection, we knew he wouldn't leave any detail out. Gave us a lot to think about before purchasing one of the homes (for investment purposes), as it needed a lot of work that was not disclosed or noticeable to the non-inspectors eye. Jeff was prompt in returning phone calls and very professional. His report was very detailed and we used it to bargain on home purchasing and because if it, we saved several thousand dollars. This was my first home purchase, and this company was recommended by my realtor. What an excellent recommendation! The inspector showed me on the spot what needed to be repaired and what I could expect to need repair in the future on this old house. He found some concerns with the foundation, and I was able to get the sellers to fix it before I bought the house, which saved me thousands of dollars. The inspector was always on-time, responsive to my calls and questions, and very professional. He provided a very thorough written report to back up the walk-through inspection, which I used when closing on the house with the sellers. He spent 3 hours on the actual inspection and was available for phone calls anytime to discuss my questions after the inspection. Thank you Amber Home Inspections. Mr. Schick was very professional and courteous; returning my calls and flexible when we needed to re-schedule. We have had other inspections in the past and this is the first time we felt everything was actually covered from top to bottom, inside and out. He provided a very thorough written report which was easy to follow and gave us an idea of which items we needed to tackle first. We looked around and the price for the inspection was very reasonable. They are very honest and reliable.
