Appliance Repair
The first technician obviously had little experience, and after he left we found that the refrigerator still wasn't cooling. A-Pro returned with another tech, who again failed to repair it. We requested another visit , but A-Pro refused, despite their claimed warranty. We later learned that A-Pro had been kicked out of the Better Business Bureau for failing to address consumer complaints. We also learned that a number of complaints had been filed against A-Pro with the state attorney general's office. A-Pro office staff lied to us repeatedly about who owns and manages the business, and the company's registered agent refused to accept a certified letter. We ended up taking A-Pro to small claims court and winning a default judgment. Fortunately, we had paid our bill with a credit card, and after we provided Visa with documentation of the failed repair, we got our account credited.

One man had a screw driver, the other had a manual. Neither knew what they were doing. After charging me with the $170, they said they needed a $200 part that they weren't sure would fix the problem. They then talked me into buying a washer and dryer, that they claimed were ''top of the line--I would buy them if I need a washer and dryer!'' That washer was also a dud, and NOT top of the line. No one works on the Calipso machines anymore, because, I am told, they are cheap! What a scam! When the calipso quit working, I called the company to come and redeem themselves, but they wouldn't fix it w/o charge.

This was the worst service that we have ever received. There were two servicemen here and they acted like they weren't sure what the problem was. They then told us it needed two motors and they would be back later. They came back in the evening with the two motors and were here several hours and then demanded a payment. Reluctantly I wrote them a check for the full amount which I shouldn't have done. The next day I called their office and asked if they would hold my check and also told them that the refrigerator was not working. They then sent the two servicemen back but after they were here the second time the refrigerator still didn't work. I called the office again and this time they hung up on me.

Either the service technician didn't know what he was doing, or worse, he did, and was overcharging me for an unnecessary part. Why were there two technicians? It is a one person job. I found the experience with this company very upsetting.

A-PRO HAS ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO SEND SOMEONE OUT THE DAY I CALL. THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM WITH MY FREEZER WAS URGENT BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO LOSE ANY FOOD. THE REPAIRMAN RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY AND FIXED THE PROBLEM QUICKLY.
