There was some confusion over the paperwork for my car. There was a delay in registering it. They need to have more communication and cooperation between the salesman.

The service is very quick. I can drop off and pick up back in a few minutes. I am very happy with that. The waiting room is very high tech and they provide transportation.

In may 2008 we purchased a brand new 2008 honda civic,great car,good buying experiance with ONE HUGE PROBLEM-I PURCHASED "PREPAID LIFETIME OIL CHANGES" on this car for an ADDITIONAL $400.00 I was told this had no extra stipulations. WRONG!!!! At the first oil change I was told in order to recieve the oil change I HAD TO PAY $9.95 FOR TIRE ROTATION--OR NO PRE-PAID OIL CHANGE!!! I was unhappy but paid the $9.95. Next oil change I WAS TOLD I HAD TO PAY $59.95 for "BRAKE INSPECTION" or NO PREPAID OIL CHANGE---I left and went down the street to Nolans Tires--THey inspects brakes for FREE and charge $24.95 for oil changes! I WILL NEVER RETURN TO GRESHAM HONDA!!!!

Customer provided detail information about American Honda Financial approval for car loan at 60 mos at 1.9%. Provide credit card information and authorized deposit of $300. Salesman Mark Morris never secured the vehicle desired, never debited the credit card for the deposit and then reported the vehicle was sold from underneath him. Caught salesman, manager, and general manager in several lies when they tried to remedy the mistake by saying they had secured another car but they still had to get it. Besides this, they insisted that the customer pay for add-on accessories that the dealer puts on at port whether the customer wants them or not. Oh, they'll reduce the markup to make it look like the customer is getting a deal but it's still a profit markup and equipment the customer didn't order. The salesman even tried to argue with me my veteran's disability entitlements allowed by the State of Oregon for DMV. Ron Tonkin Honda GM answer the complaint: " I regret to tell you that this gentleman has moved into to the most difficult consumer I have ever dealt with in my 23 years as a Dealership Manager. I am sorry we did not get together on this transaction but I cannot communicate with someone that hangs up on me, not once, but twice. In the event it did not go his way that was his next move. I would like to say that the conversation I had with this persons wife was more than pleasant, I am just sorry we could not connect." My response: "Took a deposit for promised vehicle and didn't deliver the vehicle." The GM is correct about the conversations, but the register buyer wasn't the wife on the application but the undersign. Why he was dealing with her was to convince the buyer to accept another car with more added features at an additional cost to the buyer. The GM kept contradicting himself and his salesmen (which indicated none of them were on the same sheet of music). Then GM stated he had a substitute car in hand but then slips up by saying he's doing us a favor by spending $200 sending a driver to Seattle to get the car. As you read his comment, the hangups and conversation(s) would seem short but in fact were four calls at least 10 minutes in length. Bottom Line: - Dealer took deposit for selected car and didn't deliver - Dealer makes promises over phone and then scrambles to meet promises and when they can't, tries a tactic of appeasing the spouse who they thought was a co-signer on a loan - Dealer puts on add-on accessories at port, tells you that Honda does it, marks them up, then makes it look like they are giving you a deal when they lower the price. Problem occurs when customer tells dealer he doesn't want all the accessories. - Dealer uses multiple tactics of bait and switch with costs of items in order to increase profit - Dealer misquote Oregon DMV laws with regard to Oregon Veteran Disability Program Yes, this customer was difficult after the original salesman lied to customer about car being secured and his General Manager (GM) did nothing but make excuses, like "I've been in this business for 23 years..." Well maybe he has been in this business for 23 years but based on this business deal of lies, deceit, and dishonesty, a career change might be in order before the Oregon State Attorney reviews these tactics.
