I called Tom in desperation, after another contractor struggled for almost 7 hours with no success, trying to install a tricky french door on our home. Tom came out promtly, brought all the neccesary materials with him, and right away I could see this was going to work out fine. He not only did a great job opn the door, but he also noticed some problems developing on the adjacent deck, which could have caused big problems later if not addressed. Couldn't have asked for more; showed up on time. did a great job and saved me some money in the long run. Highly satisfied with Tom Force Construction.

We contracted with Tom Force for a substantial home remodel beginning in July 2008 through June 2009. Tom provided design services and was the general contractor on the project. Tom assisted us in the development of detail plans based upon our concept. He provided very helpful and innovative suggestions that greatly enhanced our final design. He developed the plans and specifications, engaged structural engineering services and successfully navigated the permit process. Overall the planning process was exceptional. During the construction phase, Tom identified when as-built alternative approaches presented themselves. He explained the alternatives in precise detail with a willingness to come to agreement on any changes in advance. On the financial side, Tom’s billings always reconciled actuals to plan with detailed explanations. Stand out points during our project: Some of our exterior walls were removed during the middle of winter. There Tom was, working through dinnertime getting plywood backed visqueen temporary walls in place to ensure our home remained as air tight as possible! Making sure that we were inconvenienced as little as possible throughout the project was one of his priorities. During one of the structural inspections that I happened to be present for, I overheard the Beaverton building inspector comment on his familiarity with Tom’s work: structural codes are always exceeded by Tom Force! Boy that made me feel really pleased with our choice of a contractor! Tom suggested and brought to fruition multiple features we did not even consider: a sitting area off the master bedroom; one piece stainless steel counter and sink in the garage; a work bench based on reclaiming the old bathroom double vanity; a storage mezzanine above the Garage shop are with pull down stairs; etc. Tom’s best attributes are his desire to ensure all work was of the highest caliber, his transparent honesty in all matters, and his desire to exceed the expectations of his client. We have recommended Tom to another couple that was equally enamored with him as a person and the quality of his work. Tom is so trustworthy that we heartily recommend him for any home construction project.
