Evergreen Tree Service

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it worked out really well. I gave the deal as a gift to my mom and she said there were three guys who were all tall and strong and knew what they were doing. They were late on calling to set up the appointment so it took a while to set up. They showed up when they said they would.

These guys were excellent and very professional. They did an excellent job and left our yard in perfect condition.

Called them to arrange the work and they said that they would call us in a week or so when they could schedule it. We arranged for them to come out and do an estimate for the work. They arrived on time and estimated an additional $50 for dump fee and $200 for additional labor (it was a good size job). We agreed and arranged for them to come out at 10:30am on Jul 1st. On July 1st at 11:30, I called to find out why they were not here, I was told they were running late and were almost here. They arrived at 12:00 and began work. The quality of the work was good and they did a good job at cleaning up. They finished much quicker than expected and were gone by 12:15... without saying a word. I never received a bill for the $50 dumping fee or the extra time (it ended up being only 15min past what we paid for via Angie's List). We ended up paying much less than we had planned so I am happy in that regard, but not knowing if we were going to receive a bill is always annoying. I expected to be asked if we were happy with the work and cleanup before they left. Maybe I just expect too much customer service.

They did a very good job. He came out very quickly to give me an estimate and he also gave me a discount because they were running a special. He was able to schedule me within a couple of weeks, so that was great. They showed up when they said they would and worked very hard. The work went very smooth and there were no surprises.

I'm still amazed at the work that was done in my back yard yesterday! Crew arrived first thing in the morning and got right to work opening up the canopy in the back yard - trimming giant oaks and Cyprus trees that had completely taken over. Our covered porch made it impossible to get a boom into the back yard, so with rope and tackle they climbed the trees to prune! And the clean-up - all I can say is WOW! The lawn, foot paths, driveway and sidewalks looked better after they left, than they did before they arrived! And, as the crew got to the end of the project late yesterday morning, the manager came back out (he did the initial estimate) to make sure I was happy with the job - now that's some real customer service! For tree maintenance and removal, I'll always call Evergreen Tree Service! (Thanks again to all of you!!)

We have been hiring them since we had the snow storm a few years ago. They are always friendly. NO "nonsense" talking. NO unwanted surprises.Very hard working! If I had the extra $$, I would have them out working for me all the time.

The workers were courteous and they explained each step and also asked my opinion as they worked. They did not just remove branches -- they worked carefully. They raked and blew away the debris in the yard and also cleaned up the street. The tree looks nice and we have more sunshine in the backyard. The tree looks healthy as well.

Eddie, the owner, came out the day after I called him and gave me a bid in early August. While walking around he identified some additional work that needed to be done. It really did--it wasn't just a sales job. I had three other companies scheduled to bid cancelled them based on precious tree work costs I had for comparison and the Angie's list evaluation of Evergreen's work quality. Eddie said he would be here with a crew on August 29th and they showed up on time and got right to work. I hung around and watched them work which allowed me to interact with them when they had questions or suggestions. This was very helpful to me as I could evaluate any decisions based on how the work was progressing and additional work that might be needed. Unfortunately, my additional requests put Eddie a little behind schedule for his afternoon job but at no time did he give me the impression he was going to leave before I was happy with my job. Eddie and his crew were very responsive and professional at all times. They worked hard the entire 5 hours that they were here. They did exactly what was needed and the view and property look great. I would definitely use Evergreen again and am considering using their maintenance crew for landscape maintenance on a regular basis.

It all went very well as the team who came worked very hard.

I also had them do some pruning and some weeding in front yard. Tree pruning was good, not the best on shrubs. Weeding was good. I feel it was a bit spendy though. The deal was good , the regular price for the additional work was too high.

Pretty good. More expensive than I had anticipated and what I am use to paying but the work was very good.

He was very nice but I was surprised by the total price I thought the certificate would have covered more of the cost -

The price was right but then they charged me another $100. And then afterwards, I felt like I got ripped off. The original deal was for four hours and then when a man from the company came out, he said that my tree in the front would not be able to be cut because it would take longer than that. I asked how much and he said $100. Well, they finished the tree in the front yard and the one in the backyard in under three hours. That felt like they kind of took advantage of that situation by overestimating the bid and how long it would take to do it. They could accomplish it in four hours. I would not use them again because I do not think that what they did was cool. The work that they did was fine. I was not displeased but one thing that I would just give them some ding on was that they told me that they would be able to clear out an area where they could drop the limbs in and they damaged some of my plants but the quality of the limbing was good. They were also very responsive and right on time but I think that they should give me my $100 back. I have not attempted to call them regarding my complaint. The way that I look at it is that the $100 means more of the principles than the actual financial amount. For me, it was just that I took someone at his words that that was how long it was going to take for them to do the job. I could have used my money somewhere else.

Eddie came out initially to talk about what I was needing done. Everything went smoothly and they listened to me because there was one tree that I didn’t want cut too much for privacy reasons. Their prices were very reasonable and if I need future work done I’ll consider using them in the future.

It took all day but that was expected. They did an excellent job in all ways. They cut exactly what we wanted and cleaned up afterward. Our front and backyards look much better.

The yard estimate was very thorough with good notes taken of specific trees and shrubs to be trimmed and the result I wanted. The actual work occurred about 3 weeks later which was OK with me. The crew arrived as scheduled and the business owner was there to confirm the work before it began. All work was completed as requested and they did a good job cleaning up all clippings. They had to borrow a few tools because their's broke. That was fine with me but not everyone might have had those tools. I consider that bad luck on their part and not a lack of preparation.

It worked out good with Evergreen Tree Services & Landscape Maintenance. I thought they did a pretty good job. They were a little bit busy with the big deal thing so I had to wait 3 weeks, other than that, the work was good and I thought it was pretty positive.

The team did a good job. I changed the trees that were to be trimmed and although the work may have been more involved than they originally estimated, they were able to complete it in time and therefore charged the same price. We will use them again!

Eddie came out checked our work request, scheduled his team and took care of our problem trees. Evergeen was on time, professional and cleaned up the area. The yard looks great.

I purchased a coupon for $167. I was messaged over Angies list that I would be called within a week to schedule an estimate. No one called. I later called to schedule an estimate and talked to Eddie. He stated he was on the road and promised to call me back. He never did. I called again a few days later and again he was again on the road and promised to call me back within 30 minutes. He never did. I changed my plans to wait at home that day waiting for his return call and he never called me back. I have decided to go elsewhere. What good is a coupon if the service provider is unavailable or wont call you back.

We called to set up the appointment even though they were supposed to contact us. They responded quickly so it really wasn't a problem. They came out and previewed the job first on a separate day and let us know that it would be a little over the amount we had purchased on the coupon, which was fine. The day of the job went smoothly. They worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned everything up afterwards. The trees that they thinned look very nice.

Great job. Would use services again

Once again, Eddie and his crew did a fabulous job. Our yard has been sadly neglected for way too long and they were able to come in and get it back into great shape. They are very knowledgeable, capable and hard working folks and absolutely artistic arborists. And once again they did a great job of removing all traces of the debris. I highly recommend them and plan to use them again in the future.

We are SO pleased with the work Eddie and his crew did. They arrived early am and worked non-stop (except for a short lunch break) until early evening. They did a great job of completely removing one huge old pine tree, including the stump grinding and root removal, trimmed another huge pine tree and did a great job of removing all the debris. My neighbors remarked at how hard they worked, how nice everything looks and what a great job they did cleaning everything up. I will definitely use them again and my neighbors will probably use them as well. Highly recommended.
