Evergreen Tree Service

I have nothing but good things to say about Evergreen Tree Service. I found them because they had good reviews on Angie’s List. I can say I was treated quite well. Here is why. There are times when everything goes perfectly and that is good. However, it is when things don’t go perfectly, as some times happens, that you lean whether you are dealing with good people. A crew was sent out, but due to all the dirt kicked up, some crazy surface roots got covered up and missed. Some even went under my fence. I called Eddie and he came right out and personally began taking care of the problem. After some very hard work, he realized that, in this case he needed more than was available to him. At that point, he sent out a great young man whose name I don’t have available to me. That young man brought the grinder again and worked with me searching out all those crazy roots until I was satisfied. One other thing, Eddie made sure I got my Angie’s list discount without me even having to ask for it. I am glad I don’t have another crazy tree, but if I did, I would call only Evergreen Tree Service. ujh

Once they got here, they were 5 hours late. The guys didn't really know what they were supposed to do so my wife had to go get the invoice and bring it out and showed them what to do. Other than that, they did a nice job. I just think they should have gotten their act together a little better before they came out here. Once they got here it was fine, once we got them going the right direction.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it turned out well. I paid a fuel and dump charge which was extra. This was the first time that I used them. It was a positive experience, and I would recommend them. They were prompt, they were there when they said they would be, they had adequate equipment, and they cleaned up well.

I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal offer for $200 off $400 worth of tree service. Recieved a call from Evergreen almost right away. He came out and gave me a bid on the tree. I was suspicious of the price he quoted me because it seemed contingent on the angie's list deal. This is more a criticism of Angie's List, but I dont know if i'd buy another one of those since you're not able to get bids prior to the work being done. I wonder if it would've cost me the same total amount had I not already purchased the deal. Not sure I actually "saved" $200. Regardless, I scheduled time for Evergreen to come out and take the tree down. They showed up on time with 3 guys, a chipper and stump grinder. Within 2 hours the tree was down and the space cleaned up, they did a great job!! And they were super respectful of my neighbors property as the tree was along the fenceline

The men were very good about double checking how I wanted things limbed up. They were polite and did a very good job cleaning up.

They were wonderful and did exactly what I asked of them throughout the entire process. They did a great job of cleaning up after they were finished trimming the trees and bushes. Overall a great experience.

Elwood met me for an estimiate and we agreed on the work to be done. He then e-mailed me a quote that I thought was reasonable. I accepted the quote and the work was done. The stump grinding took a couple extra weeks due to scheduling and they didn't charge me until all the work was done. Very nice to work with, I would use Elwoods again. Mike

That was good. They came out, did the work and then they were gone. They were most helpful. We wanted them to make some adjustments on the length of the stump that they were cutting up. They did what we asked. I would use them again.

These guys do a great job. The trees look great and the cleanup was exceptional. The only problem we had was they arrived late due to being behind on the previous job due to weather. I would hire them again.

Eddie was very professional when he came out and gave us a bid. The tree trimmers did an awesome job. They trimmed and thinned the tree. It looks great. They also removed a large lavender from the back yard. They cleaned everything up and removed all the leaves that dropped. They got right to work and finished in good time. I am very impressed and will definitely use Evergreen Tree Service again.

I wasn't really happy with it at all. It leaned towards bad as far as the attitude of the workers. They came and they were three workers to give four hours, so that would be an hour and point three for each worker to work. At the beginning two of them stayed in the truck and had their lunch for the first 25 minutes. And then one did the tree and then they had a problem with their equipment, so they spent some time fixing that. Then when they knocked on my door to say if it was OK, I said they were supposed to do a lot more than what they had done. They kind of argued with me and it was amazing to me. The owner came out a couple of weeks before and said that there would also be a $50 removal fee and I agreed to it. But when they left, I did not give them that because they didn't do a good job. I thought that he could call me about it and when he did call to ask for the funds I said one of his workers told me in an attitude that they did all they had to do. And he said to me that he knows who that was. And I said the fact that he knows someone would talk that way to his clients, that is wrong. He even knew who it was who would talk that way. I told him that I have to get someone else to finish the job, because I was at the point of trying not to ask them anymore to cut back that tree and that I don't think I should have to pay another $50. Then we left it at that. I said he could come out and look at the tree and think that I'm wrong, then we will talk again. It was difficult to get him to call me back. One worker worked good.

I purchased the Big Deal. They were very busy, as they had a lot of response, but that was fine, since we were not in a hurry. Eddie came out to do an estimate; he was very pleasant and professional. The crew came on the day scheduled and actually showed up early. I wanted one other tree taken down that wasn't on the original estimate, and it was easy to reach Eddie by phone, get a revised estimate and get the job done. We didn't need the trees cut up (husband will do that) but they moved and stacked the trees and branches out of the way.

The provider missed 2 scheduled appointments at my house to survey the work I wanted done at my house with no reason. He didn't call in advance to say he couldn't make it and didn't call me until I reached out to him. The second time he did offer to issue a refund or give an additional discount but at that point I wasn't interested. I couldn't rely on the provider to fulfill his end of the offer. I cancelled the service and got a full refund.

They showed up a little early, which was fine. They didn’t have a piece of equipment they needed so had to leave to get that. They did come back and were able to complete everything that day. I paid an extra $25 for gas to pick up the splitter.

All went well. They were unable to complete a fifth tree (in the bid) due to hornets near the tree. Did not completely clean up. Missed some of the debris. 98% clean up.

Excellent work in felling the trees. Very skilled at what they do. Cleanup was not great, as they blew sawdust into neighbor's yard.

It was a difficult job, and they were very professional. I absolutely loved them, and they completely cleaned up after the job. They went above and beyond.

I met with Eddie to discuss the project. He was prompt and professional. The tree removal could be done for the $199 package but the additional request was quoted at an additional $100. The work was to be done while I was at work. Eddie said he would meet the crew to go over the project. I was very impressed with the work. The garden area was free of all debris and the hole left by the stump removal had been filled and raked smooth. I would choose Evergreen Tree Services again.

The "big deal" is kind of a sham. It is more of a bait ans switch. I was told there was very little point in just doing the big deal service. They were not going to be able to get anything done in the small amount of time I purchased. I hired them anyway, they all worked hard for about 10 hours. They did a good job. I had a friend that bought the same deal, and was told the same thing. I have no idea if I got a big deal. Since I had to purchase ahead of time, I felt locked in to this contractor. I have not looked at deals since. they seem disingenuous.

It was fine. They came out shortly after I purchased the big deal. There was a $25 gas fee. It was my first time using them. They did what they said they were going to do. I would use them in the future.

Initially A person forgot his name came in to give us the estimate.we had a tree and several shrubs that needs to go out. And some pruning of existing trees. He explained to us what would be covered by the coupon purchased and how much we needed to pay extra. On the day of appointment, they came in with required equipments and started off the job right away Their job was fast and neat to the finish. The only issue I had was when they were pruning my plum tree they had to access my neighbors backyard too. One person jumped right into their backyard without their permit and informing them. They ended up being good neighbors so they didn't mind much as they knew the situation but she felt they could have told her when I went to apologize. Other than that their work was neat and they cleared up my backyard so well that there was no trace of a tree or shrub existed. Will consider them again in the future if we have to prune our trees. They were great. The whole process was quick and simple. It was a good deal.

Evergreen showed up on time as promised, and did a great job. I would definitely use Evergreen Tree Service again.
