Evergreen Tree Service

They did a nice job with the trees and with cleaning up.

We had a long, and very tall row of Arborvitae trees that needed to be topped. We are very particular about how evenly these trees are trimmed. The Evergreen guys topped the trees exactly to our specs, and cleaned up so thoroughly that you would not have know they had been there.

We needed to have some trees removed in preparation for installing a fence and needed it done in a few weeks. We had bought an Angie's list deal and the owner came to see what needed to be done. He said he was booked for several weeks, but then noticed an opening for that afternoon. The crew came and took care of it that day. We were very pleased with the work and the promptness. The only negative was that the crew cut through our Internet cable when they removed one of the trees near the house. That's the reason for the "B." Otherwise, we were satisfied with the work and the company.

Very well. They wind thinned the trees so we have fewer branches falling and less chance of trees coming down.

Though I do most of my own tree work I bought the AL coupon because I have two trees that had some trickier work that needed to be done, and I wanted a licensed / bonded arborist to to those parts. One had a large branch that would have hit the house if it were not done properly, and the other had a large branch that would have taken out my shed. He came for the estimate and the coupon covered the two trees I wanted pruned, which I was satisfied with. I wanted to do the clean up to use my credit toward the work that I didn't want to do on my own. They had scheduled to come around 2pm. by 3:30 I hadn't heard anything and finally called in. The secretary said she was 'just going to call me' and that they would be there in about another 30 minutes. by 5pm they finally arrived. They explained that the last job had taken longer than anticipated and the customer had been 'difficult'. I understand that those things happen, but they should have called on their own closer to the time that was scheduled. Both of the guys were visibly tired, and were starting another job at 5pm on a Friday afternoon. I had re-organized my own work schedule to be able to clean up after their work and was disappointed as there was no need for me to take the afternoon off since they didn't arrive until 5. Once they got going the work went smoothly. They did what we had agreed upon, and did the work well. No complaints about the quality of the work or the two guys who did the work. Both were friendly and professional, just a bit late. I would have given them an 'a' if they didn't show up 3 hours late with no communication from their side, but I would expect that this was an anomaly and probably doesn't happen every time.

It went well and they were great. They pointed out the branches that needed to come off and chopped them off. They were fast and professional. There was a big and long branch which was sticking out and I was afraid that it might hurt somebody or end up in the street. I paid extra to have that taken off.

It was fine. They did some tree trimming and pruning. It took longer to get them to come out than I had anticipated. It actually took months and it shouldn't have taken that long. They did charge us for disposal, which I didn't think was typical.

A person came out to discuss the job. I had paid $199 for a $400 of service (coupon). The job was to cut back a neighbor's tree that was scraping my house. The person quoted $500 which seemed like a lot but he said they would have to go in and individually cut each limb. The workers came out and spent about 1 hour to trim back the tree using a chain saw. The price seemed like a lot for just 1 hours work. But the workers were very professional and hauled away all of the limbs.

They did a great job of trimming and cleaning up. They worked fast. We want them back.

Once the guys arrived they got right to work it was a very raining day and make working really hard. They got all the items we had down to do and did a really good job. They cleaned up so we did not have any branches in the lawn to worry about. It took them about 5 hours in total to do all the work. I gave a B rating on punctuality instead of the an A as they were 1 hour late from our appointment time and no one called to tell us they were running late.

Called them to schedule and the told me the would have to come out and rebid because they figure Angie's List Big Deals differently. My bid was only 2 weeks old. I assume that means they pad the bid. Have scheduled the service with another provider.

Quick, Professional, and solid results

A major branch had broken off on a tree and was hanging in mid-air caught on another tree. Branch was removed safely and cleanup was excellent.

Polite workers. Made sure I was satisfied with their work. Performed what was promised.

somehow I graded them wrong the first time. I have them doing monthly lawncare and overall it is done well, they missed a month but it all got straightened out. I did ask for dead branches to be cut before the 4th of July and it is now August 20th and I haven't heard from them. So I'll save myself some money and not do it, since the fireworks in the neighborhood didn't burn it down.

They cleaned everything up well, and were very polite. They were also very helpful. Just very nice people.

The job went well. The Flowering Cherry was the biggest problem as it overhangs my house, and my neighbors house and driveway. It needed an extensive amount of work to reduce the canopy size and still maintain its symmetry which the crew did well. The Arborvitae had its height reduced by almost 2 feet and the sides evened. The rest of the work was minor. The work was done well and all the trimmings were cleaned up and removed. I am happy with the work and will use them again.

It was generally positive. They work that punctual in returning calls and the actual work went okay. They seem to be competent and they know what they're doing.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. They sent two men out and they had about two hours worth of work. I had a few or more other things to trim so they charged me another $400 and they finished within the four hours which was interesting. I did not know how long it would take to take down one tree that was not too big. They also took off some limbs on another tree and topped another tree. I paid extra for them to take own a large fir tree and also top another tree as well as haul off all the wood and debris. I was disappointed and think they should have said in advance how much they could have gotten done within my time frame and then they could go from there. I argued with them and withheld payment for a while so they agreed to take the $50 hauling charge off the bill. But they did good work and were very professional, but I was disappointed that I did not get more for my money; at least the $100 for the one tree trimming that they had plenty of time for. I understand the $300 charge for the big fir tree because that was a lot of work. I felt that was fair. They did not get back to me for a while. They did good work but they were not upfront about how much work they would do within their time limit.

Looks great, cleanup was fantastic and even left us the wood chips per our request.

They trimmed several trees & transplanted another. The service was first rate. We are very happy & will be calling them back in the spring for more work. Evergreen personnel were very careful & cleaned up to our satisfaction.

The work is done by a sub contracted crew who do not speak very much English. This was a challenge the first time they arrived but the second time it was okay. The rates for other jobs I had quoted were 2x that of 2 other vendors.

Eddie Aguirre, owner, came and met us and took good notes on the work we wanted done on our trees and shrubs. This was the first time we had used an arborist and would have appreciated some guidance in terms of what his expert eye saw as needing to be done for the health and safety of our trees and surroundings, rather than the expectation of us to know and inform him. However, he wrote up a thorough estimate on the spot and reviewed the entire thing with us. Each item was priced individually, so that we could pick and choose if we wanted. Splitting the work up into multiple jobs in order to fit our budget would not be any less cost-effective for us, which was good to know. Scheduling for the service was two weeks out. Eddie and his team arrived punctually and with their own portapotty. His team of about three workers was efficient and unobtrusive. We had them complete the entire check list, save for one item, but were able to have them do another task instead, provided they had time, which they did. The clean up job was spectacular; in fact, they blew all the leaves out of our back yard and deck (on a .3 acre lot). They also did a small extra bit of work at the request of (and payment by) our neighbor on a tree of ours that overhangs their yard. Everyone was courteous. Eddie stopped by the next day (unannounced) to pick up payment. Over all, we are very happy with the job. I am curious as to how the pricing would compare to other arborists, but based on my husband's research, it all appeared to be reasonable.

They kept me inform of their availability to prune three tree in front of the house. They prune the trees, clean up after themselves and also raked up the leaves. I will definitely plan on using them in the future. _x000D_|Great work!
