I worked with David Bustos who I found to be very articulate, very professional, and accurate in his bid pricing. The original bid was for about $20,000, but that was for tearing off the old roof and trusses and rebuilding the roof structure with modern trusses, reroofing (plywood and shingles), raising the chimney, and adding the necessary siding to account for the new profile. His partner Jaime suggested some options and would really add to the aesthetics of the overall project. We chose to do most (the porch, the stamped concrete, and the siding material) and there was absolutely no pressure from Bustos and Hernandez regarding the suggestions that we declined; I really appreciated that.
Additionally, there were major, major rains right after the original roof was torn off. They placed a series of huge tarps over the house and secured them for the accompanying wind. David even came out late at night to insure that the tarps were functioning to keep the water out. No water penetrated the tarps and nothing was damaged.
When they finish - they cleaned up everything.
Anyway, I have worked with contractors in the past and none have impressed me so much that I would take the time to write a review... this one was an exception!
