Several people recommended a different company. However, when I got the bid from that other company, first of all, the owner came across quite shady and made me feel very uncomfortable. Then, on top of that, their cost was $2,900 for the exact same work.
So, we chose to go with Griffin's service. And I'm so glad we did. We could not have asked for a better job.
Griffin came out with his crew a couple days before the job was scheduled to go over the details with the crew and with us. He explained where each tree was going to be felled which gave us the time necessary to ensure that everything that might possibly be in his way was moved ahead of time.
When it came to the Tree Cutting Day, he showed up on time; was very polite; never heard any fowl language; he and his crew were very professional.
The amazing part was that he didn't have big bucket trucks and excessive equipment which would need to be driven over our lawn and leach field. Instead, he scaled (climbed) the trees, attached tethers for his crew to use to help guide where the trees would fall and went to work.
When it was all said and done, the trees were within a couple of feet of where we had been told the trees would fall.
Fantastic Job. As a general contractor, it's always nice to find a company that is true to their word. And, I will absolutely use Griffin's Tree Service again and recommend them to my clients. After all, if I save money my clients save money. And on this job, I SAVED $2,450.
