Sublimity Picture Framing LLC

I had bought the painting in Malaysia several years before. It was a watercolor of galloping horses, painted on thick rice paper. It had been rolled up for some time, and had gotten some wrinkles in it. It was not a highly valuable painting, but my wife and I both like it very much. Karla at Sublimity Picture Framing advised me to have it mounted on foam board to flatten and support it, to use an acid free mat, and cover it with plain glass. It was a large picture, about 2 feet by 4-1/2 feet. I was having a hard time deciding on both the frame material and mat color I wanted. Karla showed me a number of mats, both samples she had and others in catalogs. I chose one from a catalog, and told her I would make the frame myself if she mounted and matted it. She was able to get a mat in the color I wanted in just a couple of days. In the meantime she mounted it, eliminating all the wrinkles. I then changed my mind to have her frame it also, because it was so close to Christmas. I was able to browse some catalogs online from home and chose the frame material I wanted without having to go back to Sublimity (we live about 30 minutes drive from there). She happened to have the material I chose on hand (she has quite an inventory of frame materials), so just a day after I told her what I wanted, it was done. Just in time for Christmas. Karla even gave me a discount on the frame material because she was trying to reduce her inventory, even though it ended up being a rush job, due to my procrastination. (I thought this would be much more expensive, and had put it off until it was nearly too late). I picked the framed picture up on the day before Christmas Eve, and surprised my wife with it Christmas morning. She is just as delighted as I am with the way it turned out. It looks wonderful on our livingroom wall!
