Very kind, concerned and polite and informative as to what we need to do repairs

Leo has had 30 years experience, and did a very thorough job inspecting our mobile home for mold. Turns out we've got quite a bit more than we thought. He shared his scope with me so I could see for myself, and great about showing me how we could remedy the problem, and get much better ventilation to our place through installing more air vents and roof vents. He's sending the samples to a lab to analyze and determine whether it's toxic mold, and have the results along with his written report for us this next week. Very personable, honest, and helpful!

He wishes to tack on charges for extra work that really isnâ t necessary, such as taking a piece of drywall to have it examined at the lab to tell me what kind of mold I have, when in reality other than two dime sized black spots on the drywall I had no mold. I hired another contractor to remove drywall only to see that there was no mold anywhere else. Fastrak charged me $295 for the Mold Survey and report, of which I have never received, even after calling him to inquire about it. We had a plumbing leak and he did source out the cause of the leak (water heater hose), But I donâ t think what he did was worth the money I paid.

Leo is a very nice man with lots of experience in the building trades. He was prompt and pleasant. My only issue was that he was disorganized, at times could not recall details about the work he did for us, and apparently did not take notes. Some of the sample results came back completely blank, indicating that something was wrong with the sampling process he used. He did not offer a refund for the blank samples. There were 3 at $85 each. He did find mold in some of the locations he sampled, but the labeling was vague on the results and he could not recall our home three days later. Additionally, the solution he offered was not to find the cause of moisture and fix it, it was to fog our home and use ozone., which would not keep it from returning. I really would rather spend the $2250 he wanted for fogging and ozone treatment on remediating the problem from the source than to have to keep treating it indefinitely. I wish I could give a better review.

He failed to inform me of peak times to test for mold. It was more important to take my money than to get the best accurate readings. He did not take infrared images either that he talked about. He was very nice, but I was disappointed having gone with the long term expert. The prime time to test for mold and air quality is end of summer to end of fall. Because it is in a dormant state for winter. It makes sense when it is dried out is when it goes airborne.

Leo figured out our problem right away, as soon as the sheet rock is ripped out he will come back a spray for the specific mold we have. Very professional and knowledgeable. I would hire him again.

Although homeowners hopefully do not need to engage the services of Mold Inspection and Treatment specialists with any frequency, when the need presents itself, it is great to know that a company such as Fastrak Oregon is available to help. As an Arbitrator of Consumer Affairs for many years, I have heard many cases involving questionable service from all types of companies in numerous industries. After years of experiencing "the good, the bad and the ugly" I can affirm that Fastrak is Superb! Leo is extremely responsive, knowledgeable and professional in all respects. Ended up taking more samples than the five mentioned so the cost was higher than I expected.

Leo came immediately out and took a sample. He is knowledgeable and prompt. I can recommend him and his company highly. I wouldn't hesitate to engage his services again if needed.

Beware their website is misleading they list 60 different things they test for but they don t tell you they are $ 85.00 each test so for the grand total of $420.00 I would not call them again. I did learn that there is more spores outside than inside. REALLY.

Did not get mold test results when he said I would. Had to call him twice and when the report was sent it had wrong address phone number and zip code. Total confusion and I feel like I have been scammed.

I was able to get an inspection quickly and recommendations for next steps. Very pleased with the service.

Leo is a very personable guy, but I had to guide him to my location to start with and I sorry to say I was very disappointed with ability to help me with the urgent problems I was hoping to find an answer for. I have been doing repairs on my mobile home and discovered a area with dry rot and water damage, at the same time I had smelled a unpleasant odor coming from the same area, and experiencing what could be symptoms of mold toxicity . In my desperate attempt to ascertain the facts I had purchased a DIY Mold test kit from Pro-Lab only to realize the culture I sent ( for $55.00 ) was not going to work, as had only sampled indoor air and in order to get an accurate result samples from outdoor air would be required as well. As I become increasingly concerned I searched for another method to provide me with a more immediate result. I came across the Fast-Trac website and in desperation requested Leo s assistance. My concern was not only for my own possible health risk because of an auto immune disorder but my dog had just been diagnosed with cancer, and was exhibiting symptoms that could be attributed to mold disorder as well. Adding to my frustration my cats were also showing symptoms. So I thought having a professional evaluation would be the best . Leo had the proper equipment to do air sampling, which he did and assured me that my payment of $420.00 would provide me with a report the following day. With that somewhat sense of relief, I continued to study accuracy of air sampling methods and discovered that sampling should be done from 3 to 6 feet from the floor, where as Leo s samples were done from the floor and that the accuracy of air samples can very depending on a variety of factors. And that conditions for sampling change from from moment to moment, and even with changes in of barometric pressure. It was then I realized that the best sampling method in my case would have been a bulk sample from the immediate area where the area in question. With increasing frustration I waited for a result from the test Leo had done. And in the meantime I called Leo to express my concerns. He said he would be willing to come back and do a bulk sample for an additional $85.00. That said the next afternoon at 4:30pm I was still waiting for the email with his test results. Upon calling him I was told they may not have the results until Tues. the following week ( because of a Holiday weekend). I began to think I was in a hopeless situation . Resolved to the fact this whole mold testing business was a scam. Then I received the results from my DIY test results, showing the different types of mold from the culture. One a common occurring variety and one not harmful but the vast % was a variety that couldn t be identified. And to my surprise later that evening 6pm I received the results from Leo s test. It indicated 3 different varieties that the other test had not shown. One of which was not toxic but was pathenogenic. And the symptoms of this type of mold identified the symptoms I had. Typically this type of mold produced allergic reactions, but people it s autoimmune disorder s and babies were at higher risk. Animals are more susceptible to this as well because of their size. My dog is 9lbs. and in much more direct contact to exposure. So since the facts were that I found the source of the water damage and could smell the unusual odor, plus exhibiting the headaches, fatigue, blurred vision, joint pain and rash, I have concluded that I must vacate to a clean environment and try to remedy the situation. I m taking action to determine medically my condition. And boosting my immune system for myself ,as well as my animals. This has been a emotional, physical and financial nightmare. If you find yourself in a similar situation I hope this review gives you a better perspective, as how to go about dealing with mold.
