Ambassador converted our fireplace, oven, and water heater to gas, completely establishing the gas lines and installing the appliances. They were thorough and professional. The job began in November of 2011 and finished in early January of 2012. It was a lengthy process, but the owners were helpful both in assisting us with the insert selection and scheduling the actual job itself. their showroom has several different versions to choose from, and the ambassador staff are helpful and organized in assisting customers with the manufacturer rebates as well as NW Natural rebates.

There were a few surprises - when we dug into the ceiling to install the vent ducting, a joist blocked the way, requiring a change of plan - but Ambassador's workers showed up promptly on the expected days, worked diligently, kept my house tidier than I usually keep it, and were careful to explain to me what they were doing and why.Matthew, the owner, was quick to return calls, and was great at adjusting his workers' schedules to fit mine.The project was finished on time and for the estimated price.

We shopped around quite a bit and it was very evident that Matthew was very knowledgeable. He was able to figure out what type of fireplace would fit into our odd configuration and steered us in the right direction. He also figured knew way more about rebates that other stores didn't even mention which saved us hundreds of dollars. They promised to get the fireplace in before XMAS and did so. Installation went well and the fireplace works great. Price estimate was in line with the final bill. They seem to be a company that is very focused on knowing their products and industry. Highly recommend.

They came when they said they would and installed it. They don't hook it up. A different company did the pipe work to connect the pipe work to the system. They subcontracted the pipe work. Everything done was on one invoice. They were fine. They answered all of my questions about the hot water system. I went over to the showroom and they gave me a demo. It was just a very straight-forward installation. They had to come back because one of the pipes was leaking. They came back and fixed it right away.

It went very well. Like all construction projects there were minor problems that had to be corrected along the way. They were very responsive to my needs and very dedicated to ending up with a satisfied customer. It was evident that they care about their customers as I feel they went above and beyond in several instances to achieve that end.

I decided to use Ambassador Piping because they could do both the fireplace installation and the water heater. They did a good job of the installations themselves, but did not communicate well on the electrical and plumbing they had subbed out so that I didn't always know when things were going to happen. Everything did get done eventually to my satisfaction.

Ambassador Piping's was the best price among the companies we visited. The company is a little disorganized and needed some goading to focus on our installation, but when the day came, it went smoothly. The insert works fine--although there is an occasional minor beeping sound. We are satisfied.

Overall pleasant experience. I was particularly impressed that they took responsibility for some damage that occurred to my old stove during the move and were easy to work with on covering the damage. They also seemed to have a good working knowledge of what needed to be done to get the job done. The only downside was that they were not licensed to do any electrical work, so I needed to hire a separate contractor for the related electrical work needed. I would have liked to have one service able to do both.
