Our house is a 100 year old sculpted stone house. The chimney was built with bricks that are softer and more crumbly than modern bricks and is very tall. Mike has had training and experience in historic restoration and explained that these bricks required a different mortar than that available in stores today. Also that power washing and sealing were not a good idea for this project. The research that I was able to do convinced me that he knew his stuff and was right for this job. He did a great job! The chimney looks so much better and stronger. He provided a new chimney cap. He protected our new roof from spills and scars and cleaned up pretty well. He took the time to do extra work on some cracks above the dining room windows that were possibly leaking. I'm glad it all got done before the rains this year.
