The hydroseeding worked for about 85% of the site, but failed on the remaining 15% after one month. JB redid the lawn with a slit seeder, which brought the satisfactory area up to 95% after one month. Gradually, the remaining open spots are filling in and expect to have 100% satisfaction after 90 days. The lawn is beautiful. I would not recommend hydroseeding, but rather would go with the drill or slit seeding on a residential lawn. In my case the hydroseed was clearly put on in differing amounts over the lawn area; it is more likely to suffer washout from watering; and there is a lot of overspray into garden areas. The folks at JB Lawn are nice to work with, but I don't think they are use to dealing with homeowners who have a personal investment in how the lawn looks. It was hard to get them to respond to the problems with the hydroseeding and took nearly two weeks of phone and emails before the reseeding was done.
