We spent a lot of time working with Tama and Mark over a couple years before deciding to go with them. It was Tama's idea to switch things around and though it ruined our budget, the result is wonderful. Very easy to work with. Handled custom requests well. Worked with us to meet in evenings many times. The ending quality of the work is very good. There were several minor problems, but they were corrected without too many problems, though Mark often was not responsive and response/resolution did not occur until we got Tama involved. We strongly recommend that you have Tama as the contact. We were not pleased with the supervision of the project. Mark relied on us to report problems each day. Now the big problem. They said they could do our remodel in three weeks (took 12 in part due to family emergencies which we were OK). I asked for a penalty clause and Mark said he would put one in if we would also include a reward clause for finishing early. DO IT (caution with control).

We began this relationship by stressing how important it was that the project stay on budget and schedule (we had a baby coming), and we were promised that we had nothing to worry about. Needless to say, this did not turn out to be true. The project was supposed to be finished a week before the birth of our baby (October 31st - he was late). As the end of November approached, we gave them an ultimatum and they declared it ''substantially complete'' as of 10pm the night before Thanksgiving. They came by a time or two in early December before all work ceased. We tried several times to schedule a walk-through to go over remaining items, to no avail. However, TDD asked us to pay the full invoice (they initially tried to charge us more than what was on our contract) and we did. We were then given a new invoice for 'add-ons and changes' that was not representative of work done. We tried to work with them, to no avail, and now we are going to court. They have never returned to finish the job.

"THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE. The client neglects to report they added another bathroom, they added a specialty flooring that we had no control over the time of shipment or installation. At the time of demolition it was discovered that the home had been in a serious fire prior to their owning it. The floor in the kitchen was off to unacceptable specs for the additional weiight of the granite countertops they the chose. In addition, it was discovered that their was significant problems that were hidden under fixed surfaces. The owner refused in the beginning to allow us to get permits for the work that was discovered. It was only when we walked off the job because we refused to work under these pretenses, that Member finally agreed to have permits. In addition to this work, they also added another bedroom to be worked on. At each change, we had signed change orders. In November, we were substancially complete. Unforturnately, the check for the next installment bounced, after three weeks of avoiding payment. Throughout many lies, we continued to work. It was only after we turned him in the the authorities for the NSF check, that he brought a check to pay the balance of the original contract. It is a matter of public court records, that we won a judgement against the Member for all the changes they made and all court costs assosciated. We are still waiting for the balance on the judgement to be paid."
