AL'S GARDEN CENTER

Bought a $200 flocked christmas tree here. Next day it wasn't taking up water and they told me there is no way to remove the water base from the tree as it was screwed in. Told me it would be ok since it was flocked. Flocking was loose and comes off annoyingly easy. Now, two weeks before Christmas, have needles dropping off. Have one of the firs that are known for hanging on to their needles. This experience far cry from past flocked trees I've bought elsewhere; trees that did not lose their flocking and did not dry out. Don't buy a Christmas tree here if you want to get your money's worth.

Their store is beautiful and well-stocked. Their plants are healthy and their selection is great. That's where the good ends. The staff is incredibly unhelpful, even snobbish. I've been to Al's Garden Center's Sherwood location about eight times now, and if I'm lucky enough to even find someone to ask a question to, I've never found anyone who had any answers. Where are the blueberries? Don't know. Do you have Encore Azaleas? Don't know. What's the price of this plant? Don't know. etc, etc, etc. The entire customer service staff should be replaced. Some of their prices are unbelievable. I recently purchased some patio chars for $200 each elsewhere, and saw the exact same thing at Al's for $1098. For one chair. I kid you not.

They sell plants that have very good quality, they're healthy and the flowers are beautiful. Anytime that I've gone there, I've always found what I wanted, it's excellent. The people are very friendly and helpful. The only thing they don't do is come to your home. If you give them pictures, they'll tell you what to plant in your yard for a fee.

I had some plants die within a year and they replaced them. They have a wide variety of plants, garden and yard furniture. They are pretty good. They have the one year guarantee for the perrenials. They always have someone on staff who can answer any type of questions you have. Look for anyone in a purple shirt.

Love to shop at Al's for all of my yard needs. The best selection for what you are looking to plant in your yard. Plus, a helpful staff to pick the plant(s) your are looking for. I always have a hard time picking just the right plant. My first choice is Al's!

We go to both Al's in Sherwood (or their original location in Woodburn) at least three times a year; knowledgeable folks, and they have just about everything you'd need. And their hanging flower petunia baskets are legendary.

I've shopped at Al's original store in Woodburn for years. They have always been friendly experts on all plant types and always have had a nice selection of new and current varieties. The new Sherwood store is every bit as friendly and knowledgeable but even larger and more beautiful. They very patiently helped us over the course of several phone calls to procure a large number of plants for our new hedge. They arranged delivery (I believe it was free or minimal since it was a large purchase). Additionally, they put us in contact with a very professional landscaper to install the hedge.
