Jeff Moore, the owner and machine operator represented that he could finish the work in a week, even with some rain; that he had both a big excavator and on the 1st or second day would have on site his large bulldozer and that he would follow with a big roller to compact the road.  I was to pay about an equal amount on completion. The dozer never showed up and he had many excuses. His helper who was supposed to be limbing trees had a small chainsaw that didn't work for the first week. (I had to do a lot of cutting and limbing).  Turned out he was renting his machinery. Rains started and he started delaying and saying soils had to dry. He started bringing gravel but claimed he could not get enough drivers (had only one, fired that one, hired another, always promising to get more than one, Road and soils got too wet.  Gravel was lost. I paid for extra gravel never delivered in full. I learned he was not paying gravel pit or truck driver and a driver I found for him and whom he said he contacted, told me he had never been contacted. I terminated the contract. This will cost me a lot to remedy his work, to wait 6 months or more for drier weather so I can build, etc.
