It was good. He was on time and kept us up to date on everything. We just had one issue and that was over the paint that he used to paint it but that seemed kind of he didn't want to go buy the actual brand of paint that we wanted him to buy. He tried to match the paint color to the house with another brand and it never exactly matched still. But, in the end it didn't seem worth the argument anymore. Other than that, the garage, the structure, the work was great.

We would not hire Todd again. The project took almost twice as long as Todd stated it would and it was not a fun process. Todd and Heather in my opinion are not very organized. We had to pick out the materials for the job but they failed to give us a timeline of when materials were needed so everything was always a rush and on their time line. An example is our bathroom. Our granite bathtub does not match our floor because my husband had to stop working because they needed the granite that day. No earlier notification of when they needed the granite. We asked them numerours times for a timeline but never received one.
Next, the job took months longer then they quoted in the bid. The kitchen took at least one month longer then it was suppose to. Tood would say he would be showing up to work then he would not show up for a few days. It was not a fun process. We literally were using the bathroom sink for everything for over a month and in my opinion Todd would make excuses.
n
The final major issues was payment. When we hired Todd he stated he would take credit cards. After paying him $30,000 in cash we stated we wanted to use our credit cards for numerous reasons. After a few weeks he did get the credit card machine going and we had to pay the percentage fees. Also, once he would complete a job the next day Heather would start calling and emailing wanting payment. Typically, when a major job is completed you would have a few days to look at the job to make sure you were happy with the job. It did not happen. Also, when Todd was here we would ask him to do minor things ie painting a few rooms and he would quote us one price then Heather almost always send us a bill for allot more money. An example of that is Todd painted 4 rooms for $400 we had him paint an additional 2 rooms and they wanted the same $400. for half the work.
We also had him make a little gate. He charged us $300 and I saw a better gate in Frontgate Magazine for $100.
Also, when trying to contact Todd we email Heather, his wife. His wife emails us back to call Todd. I feel the customer service level is probably not what it should be. We told Todd we were not happy with this process and his statement was he had enough return business so he did not worry about Angies List reviews. Another customer had given him an F and I told him about the issue. As I stated he said he had enough work and he was not worried about it. I hope Todd and Heather can read this review and learn how to deal with customers in a better manner.

"We are sorry to hear that you both are unhappy with the work that was completed, we really tried hard to do everything you requested and our main concern was making you happy. We thought that in the end you were happy. One of our main goals is providing good customer service and implementing changes to accommodate our customer’s needs. When you expressed concerns about knowing what was going to be done, we would email you timelines regarding work we were doing at that time and when to expect it complete. We also designed a template for you on what materials were needed In order to complete the job because you had said in the beginning that you would rather get an allowance for the materials so you could absorb some of the cost by paying with your credit card, because we were not set up to accept credit cards at that time. When you eventually expressed concern that you would like to pay your invoice with credit card we made that available for you. This was our first time ever accepting credit cards so we were unaware of the fees involved, but you had happily agreed to cover that because you preferred to pay with your credit card instead of with a check. We are sorry the kitchen did take longer than expected because the sink you had chosen had to be ordered and it was 4 weeks out from delivery. We did have some good things came out of this, we now have specific templates available when the need arises and we are now able to give customers the option of paying with a credit card. We wish you both all the best in the future. P.S. We wanted to let you know that our records show $49,587 in total paid Invoices."

I contacted Todd because he had done a garage remodel at a neighbor's up the street and that garage looked nice. He came over one dark and stormy night and gave me an estimate for just a remodel. I then saved up bottles and cans and contacted him months later to come over and give me a bid. We decided that a complete demo was necessary :( I checked him out and got other bids and decided to use him. In about three weeks, I had a new one car garage that fits into the neighborhood and goes with my old house. As he was working along, I added a few things such as a new back fence and new gate. Because of this, his original estimate turned out low but I'm still quite happy with the work and price.

Todd has done work for me before so I know his work. Both he and Tom were very aware of not only their job but the impact on the rest of the household. They cleaned up each day, put up plastic to minimize the dust and even made sure the dog had water when he was put out back. Chris, the cabinet man listened to what I wanted and made adjustments when asked. He too is very meticulous in his work and it shows in the cabinets he built for me. The whole project was done in approximately 5 weeks start to finish.

"Dear Member, Here we are again…well if the first job didn’t prepare you for remodeling this one sure did! Sometimes it can be scary to think about remodeling and tearing into walls, but in the end it always turns out great! It was a pleasure working with you again and thank you again for all your kind words. I hope you are getting a lot of use out of your new kitchen! Thank you for your business, Mt. He is a very nice guy and gets back to you when he's supposed to. His price was very reasonable and the quality of work was excellent. He is very picky and meticulous. He pays attention to detail. He cleans up after himself and the subcontractors.

I was very impressed with the whole project. Todd is very meticulous in his work - as are his workers. He was always here when promised and answered phone calls immediately (or within a few hours). I was surprised that each day they cleaned up the site before leaving. As to his work it is the "little things" that most impressed me: redoing the mortar/trim next to the house around the chimney so it fit in better, adding 3/4 round around the porch ceiling to finish it off, using frames around the light fixtures cut in so they mounted flush to the house and being so patient in answering all my questions and giving me suggestions, I didn't know much about what I needed and he was very good about explaining what I truly needed and what was optional. Todd was highly recommended by a couple of friends so I decided to take a chance. I'm so glad I did. Once this loan is paid off I will hire him to redo my kitchen. After all the horror stories I'd heard about remodeling projects I put it off as long as I could and am very grateful to have found such a down-to-earth guy...quick too. They started the project on Monday and finished less than 2 weeks later and I never had to take time off work. I didn't actually get other bids but from what my friends have told me this was a good deal for all that he did.

I’m very impressed you noticed all the little things, I take pride in my work and it is important to me that I met all your expectations. Sometimes a lot of questions have to be asked, but that is what I’m here for, I wanted you to feel as comfortable with everything as possible. I look forward to hearing from you on your next project!
