My home warranty company contracted Living Water Plumbing to fix a water leak associated with our toilet. The plumber was in and out quickly. He stated the leak was being caused because the ring the toilet sat on had began to show signs of wear. He replaced the ring without further inspection and left. Fast forward two weeks. It turns out the leak was not repaired and there is now moderate water damage to our flooring. So once again, we have had to shut off the water to our bathroom but this time instead of just dealing with a toilet leak, we now have to deal with floor damage because Living Water’s plumber failed to fix the leak the first time.

I told the representative that I spoke with about the quote that I was not ready to have the work done just yet and would get back to him. I got a surprise call from them today asking for my credit card info. When I asked what for they said they had already gone to the house and installed the new water heater.

Water heater was replaced as agreed upon. The guys who replaced it left a mess for us to clean up. Our wool cream-colored rug, which just could have been rolled up and out of the way is stained with dirty footprints and the area was left a mess with remnants from the old heater. All it takes is a broom and a mop to clean up after a job and maybe 15 minutes. The other issue is that no paperwork from the new heater was left behind. I have no idea what was actually installed!

They are very nice and very reasonable. I have had issues with the service but they have come back and fixed it. I have recommended them. They did a good job on the hot water heater. They got the hot water heater and knew what they were talking about as far as recommendations. They put it in just fine this time. The water was quite warm and we called them about that. They resolved that right away.

Installed some parts, but failed seat them properly, resulting in a leak into our crawlspace.  I paid him regardless on the promise of his returning to fix it after finding some parts, but he was never available, and I had to pay another plumber to redo the work and fix the mess.
They have failed to respond to my request for a refund.

This was a very basic job - it couldn't have been simpler, so I would not trust him to do anything.

He was running late that day but called to give us a new time frame (which we appreciated). He had to replace some internal parts of the toilet tank. He was fast, efficient, very clean - he even took his shoes off at the door. Parts were very reasonably priced. Have used them in the past and will definitely use them again.

He came two different times and he was great both times. They discounted the second job they did because I hired them the first time so if you use them again they take money off the next visit. They were in and out of here in less than an hour. They were very considerate, they put stuff over the shoes when they come in the house so they don't get your house dirty and they try not to come in any more than they have to. They are really efficient and they are very pleasant guys to work with and they are on time. Usually they give you a window and they show up at they last minute. They guarantee their work and they will come right back if there is a problem, but I have never had a problem with anything that they have done. They are very honest, very friendly, very nice and very easy to work with.

Forrest showed up on time and moved the water heater across the room, installed new PEX type pipes and new venting for high efficiency gas water heater. This was part of a larger project converting heat from oil to gas, and adding whole home AC along with water heater and a couple of minor plumbing changes.
Forrest was on time, great to work with, the plumbing happened on a day I was at work and my wife was home. When there was a question Forrest called me instead of asking my wife to deal with the issue. She thought that was awesome. My wife hates construction in our home but was very pleased with how clean the entire space stayed during the project. When all was said and done, everything was perfect. Couldn't tell they had been here (except for the shiny new water heater).
I had a question about our main line into the house so I called living water and the owner Scott made it out the next morning to take a look. Very responsive!

This plumbing job was for a mountain cabin. I had scheduled a meeting with Scott at the cabin to explain what I wanted done. Scott was prompt and met me at the designated time. Scott was very helpful and had some good suggestions on how best to do the work. Scott gave me an initial estimate for the work, which I indicated, was a little too high and he agreed to see what he could do to bring the price down. Scott also gave me a timeline to complete the job at that time. Scott emailed me the quote within the agreed time and the quote was within what I estimated the job to be. We agreed on the date the job should start I told Scott I would meet him at the job site to turn over the keys so he could begin the work. It was at that time that Scott told me that he was not going to be doing the work and that a Journeyman plumber that works for him was going to do the job. I was concerned but Scott assured me this person did excellent work. On the agreed date and time Scott’s assistant did show up to start the job but he informed me that he had injured his back and wouldn’t be able to start the work that day. I called Scott, who was on vacation, and we discussed the situation. Scott told me he was going to get someone on the job and that he was returning later that week. When Scott returned no work had been done because his assistant was still out due to his back injury. Scott assured me he would get the work done but it was going to be delayed because of the back injury. I told Scott this would be OK as long as the job got finished by a certain date because I was hosting a family party at the cabin. Scott is a man of his word. The job was finished on time. Scott had to do the work himself because he couldn’t find anyone to hire who met his standards and he spent many long days getting the work done and making sure it was done on time in a professional way. No corners were cut. Scott did a very professional job and the job site was left very clean.
Response from Living Water Plumbing Inc
"Thank you for you kind feedback. We are in the process of hiring more people, and better communication. We are a small business in the process of growth. The plumber that had hurt his back is no longer working for us. He has moved on to a job that better suits him. I am truly sorry that this happened while we were away. We can only hope that we made up for it with Scott's time on the job-getting it done right."

This guy is a weasel. He estimated 3 days to do this job for $2100. Then he offered to ''help me out'' by letting me do some of the work (digging a trench, picking up supplies, drilling holes, etc.), and he would ''only'' charge his hourly rate. I did this work, which instead of saving me any money, somehow COST me an extra $1300. And rather than finish in 3 days he took over a month to complete. He promised numerous times to show up and then didn't come or even call. When he did come he would work for only a couple of hours at a time, and would be making and taking cell calls for other jobs or chatting it up with other contractors, all of which I found out later I was being charged his full hourly rate for. He also wrote into the contract that he owned any leftover supplies. I still can't believe how much stuff he ordered that wasn't used on my job. He took most of it home before the job was even done! To top it all off, he was not done when my (rescheduled) inspection came.
Response from Living Water Plumbing Inc
"The member had a signed contract authorizing the work to be done. When the bill was 30 days past due, only then did he complain about the service and refused to pay. Legal action was made, and he was made to pay the full amount stated in the contract. All work was done by his direction and authorization. All work was passed by the Portland plumbing inspector on the first visit. The Member did save money by digging his own trench for the water service, as opposed to paying us to dig it ourselves. We feel that we handled this job with integrity and professionalism. This has been our only complaint against our company and feel that we were falsely accused. Furthermore, Angie's list failed to contact us and investigate the truth in this matter. Supporting documents are available upon request."
