They were great. They came in and knocked the job out in a timely fashion. They were clean and cleaned up after themselves. I was happy.

BEFORE I SIGNED THE CONTRACT, THOSE PEOPLE WERE HELPFUL, COULDN'T DO ENOUGH FOR ME. ONCE THE CONTRACT WAS SIGNED, COMMUNICATION REALLY DROPPED OFF. CONTRACT CALLED FOR FINAL PAYMENT ON COMPLETION. EVEN BEFORE COMPLETION, GLENN WAS AT THE HOUSE DEMANDING MONEY. HE WOULDN'T GIVE ME A BILL, JUST SPOUTED NUMBERS AND HAD UPPED SOME PRICES. I GAVE HIM MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND ASKED HIM TO BILL ME (AS HE HAD DOWN WITH THE DOWN PAYMENT). PERHAPS THEY WOULD BE COMPLETED BY THE TIME THE BILL ARRIVED, I COULD GO OVER THE CHARGES WHEN WRITTEN OUT. SONOFAGUN BUT HE WENT AND PUT THE CHARGES THROUGH THE CREDIT CARD WHICH WERE NOT AUTHORIZED! SO HE CHANGED PRICES ON ME, DID NOT DO SOME FINISH WORK, FOULED UP MY TV CABLE. WE HAVE OTHER PROBLEMS LISTED UNDER 'WINDOW REPLACEMENT'.

"At GSCS, we strive for customer satisfaction. In some cases this takes a process. We've been in this process of contracting performance and follow up for 4 months. We did not contract for roofing. Many delays and numerous indecision on homeowners part has caused delays. Additional out of contract work has been requested, some performed and billed for and numerous "good will" expenditures on our part. We'll continue to strive to satisfy customer. The windows are in. However, my TV cable comes through the bottom portion of a window, they did not bring enough cable into the house. I discovered this at night when I went to watch TV, and had to pull bare cable through the hole which was caulked. (Now my cable has this dry caulk smeared on it. This removed the caulk from the hole. I called and e-mailed about it, filled out a form about it, but got no response. Some of the window screens did not fit well. Instead of sending someone out to re-measure, I was told to measure the screens. Then a few weeks later I had to measure again! I told them I was not sure if I was giving the right measurements as these screens can be measured different ways. Well, turns out I did not measure in the right place, but did not find this out until the new screens were brought out. What kills me is the contractor was out three times after I brought the poor screen didn't fit to their attention, but he wouldn't do the remeasure. Why'd I pay?

"WINDOWS ARE AN ENERGY EFFICIENT PRODUCT. ANYTIME YOU HAVE A CABLE RUNNING THROUGH A WINDOW YOU HAVE COMPROMISED THE INSTALLATION. IT IS NOT OUR PRACTICE TO INSTALL A WINDOW WITH A CABLE RUNNING THROUGH IT. THIS HAPPENED BETWEEN THE INSTALLER AND THE HOMEOWNER. WE DO NOT DO CABLES, ELECTRICAL WIRING OR PLUMBING. THE INSTALLER HAS BEEN DISCIPLINED. AS FOR THE SCREENS: WINDOWS ARE ORDERED TO CUSTOM SIZES. SCREENS ARE PART OF THAT CUSTOM SIZE, THEY COME AS A UNIT. IF THE WINDOW FITS, THE SCREEN WHICH COMES WITH THE WINDOW FITS. IF THE SCREEN DOESN'T FIT, OUR FIRST REMEDY WOULD DETERMINE IF THE HOMEOWNER HAS MULTIPLE WINDOWS OF SIMILAR SIZES AND DETERMINE IF THE SCREENS WERE SWITCHED. IF NOT, WE REALIZE MANUFACTURERS CAN MAKE MISTAKES. WE WOULD THEN GO TO THE ORIGINAL ORDER WITH THE MANUFACTURER, GIVING THEM THE EXACT LINE NUMBER FOR THE CUSTOM WINDOW AND THEY WILL CUSTOMIZE THE SCREEN REPLACEMENT. WHERE THE HOMEOWNER MIGHT BE REQUESTED TO MEASURE WOULD BE THE WINDOW ITSELF SO THAT WE'RE SURE WE'RE ORDERING THE CORRECT SCREEN REPLACEMENT BASED UPON THE WINDOW ORDERED. WE NEVER MEASURE FOR SCREENS - THE FACTORY DOES COMPUTERIZED CALCULATIONS BASED UPON THE SIZE AND STYLE OF THE WINDOW. WE MAY HAVE ASKED HIM TO MEASURE THE WINDOW - TO FACILITATE THE RE-ORDER. WE HAVE EXPLAINED THIS TO THE CUSTOMER, ORDERED HIS SCREENS, INSTALLED THEM AND GIVEN HIM INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO REMOVE THEM."

The installation took 2 days. There was a crew of 3 workmen to complete the process. They arrived on time and worked through the hot day. The windows have definitely improved the appearance of our home. Our goal was to make the home energy efficient, needing less energy to heat, and to be more attractive. We feel this company helped us achieve this.
