Contacted Woodward Heating to repair a thermocouple on my gas fireplace. They sent out a technician who diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. A week later the technician returned to install the part. During the install, the tech, stripped the valve threads and had to order another valve and said it would be installed at no charge. About 10 days later, the tech returned to replace the valve. The tech was in our home about an hour and a half and left with the fireplace working. At about 2:00 a.m.. the next morning my wife got up and smelled natural gas in the home. We had to shut off the gas and called NW Natural. NW Natural sent out an emergency tech who found a leaking gas valve and repaired the issue. We were SHOCKED that a technician would leave a job and not check for gas leaks..OMG!!!!!! I called the owner, Scott Woodward to complain about the tech and that he left gas leaking in our home. I NEVER received a reply, apology or explanation! When the tech was here the first time, we had him quote us on a new Heating and AC system. There is NO way in @#* I would ever let Woodward Heating near my gas appliances again, now or in the future....

Installation and performance of heat pump and air handler was satisfactory until 25-35° weather set in. Then, it took nearly all day to bring temperature up to comfortable level. We switched to “emergency” heat and still took all day. Called company and were told by secretary and two technicians (who did come out and check the system) to leave it running 24/7 – not what we wanted to do. Finally, spoke to company owner (after several people told me he would call, which he never did), who slammed the phone down because “I kept interrupting” him. Then, their salesman called and tried to make nice and told us we needed to add more heating strips. He said he would deliver a quote, but never did. Then, called Gagle Heating. They came out the next day, ordered new heat strips and had them installed several days later. Woodward: significant delays, (and in my opinion) very poor customer relations and not dependable: F. Gagle: great service, made sure added coils were working properly (solved the problem): A.
Response from Woodward Heating
"[Member Name Removed], We sincerely apologize for your unhappiness with the situation. As we explained, the systems are designed to meet Salem Electric guidelines. Unfortunately, shutting the system down at night allows the temperature to get too cold to bring up to temp with the properly sized aux heat. Had we know that from the beginning we could have provided an over-sized aux heat kit. However, we are pleased to hear your system is running to your satisfaction now."

They do a good job, but when we needed an emergency repair, all we got were answering machines (even though their website says they don't believe in them) and no call back. We ended up calling James Heating and got our a/c fixed the same day.

The furnace had not been running -- the fan was blowing cold air.  I had had the gas company out to check -- and they said it was not at the meter, but at the furnace -- and that there was probably a block in the vent -- possibly an insect. The gas company actually gave me a toll-free number to call in case the Sears team were unable to fix it.  I did make the call and am very pleased that I did.  Sears had said I needed a new part and that it would not be available until the very end of November -- which was unacceptable to me since I have a 91-year old mother who lives with me and needed to stay warm while I was out of the house!  The person from Woodward Heating (Dillon) had it fixed and running in an hour -- and it continues to run, efficiently!  No part was needed.  It just needed someone to look for the block in the system.  SO-  thank you Dillon, Woodward Heating!  I signed a service contract with them as a result of this visit -- and look forward to my association with them....to keep my heating-cooling systems going.  They waived the charge for the visit, because I signed up for the maintenance.

Everything is working as expected. One complaint is the furnace filter was replaced with a smaller size.

On Nov. 1st. 2013  I called Woodwards to let them know that my new Furnace kept turning off and I had to have heat. They sent a man out and he just opened it up and said nothing was wrong that he could see so the Furnace just kept turning off and I called them again and they sent another man out and he didn't know what was wrong with it. So I had to send them a check for $79.00 for a house call. I told them I was going to call Gagle"s and see what their man could find if anything. He came out and looked it all over and found that a part that operated the off and on timer in the Furnace was defective and he ordered a new one and installed it the
next day. Now everything is working fine and no trouble. I had to pay their service call of $89.00 and so I believe that woodward's
should send me back the $79.00 they charged me . If their men didn't know what was wrong and just stood and looked at the Furnace this would be the right thing to do. I'm 88 and it caused a lot of anxious time as I have to keep warm in this cold weather.
I did send Woodwards the invoice from Gagle's they asked for and have not heard a word from them . It's been two weeks now.

It went well. Prompt service call to size up gas heating and central air conditioning needs, got an email with proposal within a few days. Identified all eligible rebates and specials. The work crew showed up when scheduled, didn't make a big mess, got it done in good time. Woodward billed us with follow through information for contacting city inspector for final approval, plus provided state and federal tax credit info, and applied NW Natural consumer credit to bill. Provided Lennox website for application for factory rebate and warranty info. The air conditioning system works well. Haven't had a chance to try out the heating system. The estimate wasn't the cheapest offer, but Woodward repution and Lennox product reputation recommended them.

We were very pleased with the prompt, courteous service we received.  Our neighbors had need of a heating service this week and were very happy with the service they received from Woodward Heating.  Using Angie's List and our neighbors response, we requested an inspection.  We had not anticipated adding a thermostat but were so impressed with the technician, we decided to have the work done.

This company replaced the furnace and added air conditioning several years ago. Our air conditioner unit quit last summer and I called them to take a look at it. The service man was able to schedule us the next day. I thought the fan motor quit, but he found the problem right away and it urned out to be a capacitor for the motor. He had one in his truck, replaced it and went on his way. He was very knowledgeable and honest. He charged us for his time and the part, which was much less than anticipated. Will always use them again.

I got estimates from a few places but I chose them.  I used them because they had a few positive ratings on Angie’s list already and I agree to the ratings of that.  So I took all the positive things about them.  Actually their sales part was very low pressure.  Their furnace is all about getting worse and the special ones are not.  I’ve done research and I’ve realized that more pressure furnaces really don’t pay back very quickly at all.  They said the same thing before even I could say it.  They didn’t try to get me the expensive furnace and they realized that that was not what they really needed to do.  So that’s pretty cool.  The overall experience was excellent.  I checked a few places with regard to prices and that was one reason why I chose them.  I haven’t used the furnace as much yet but it’s excellent.  They were excellent with responsiveness and professionalism.  Their punctuality was good.  I will use their services again in the future.
