We were very happy with both repairs. The repair person was prompt, efficient and courteous. The cost of the repairs (particularly for the Electrolux induction range) was less than we anticipated. We are not impressed with the quality of Electrolux products, but we are impressed with United Repair.

When Randy first arrived he came by himself because I told him my son could help. Later when one of his employees was free he arrived to help out. They both took extreme care in moving the appliances from one room to another. Were very knowledgable and discussed many functions of my appliance with me and showed me how it worked. I so appreciated that they came out immediately... they were the only place I found open on Saturday.

The hinges on the dishwasher still squeak. When they pulled the dishwasher out and slid it back in the legs were not adjusted to the right height, leaving a gap between the top of dishwasher and counter. This resulted in the screws being screwed in at a angle and spliting out the wood that they were screwed into. We are not able to screw the dishwasher in now. When we called the company they said their repair person didn't do it and won't come out to fix or look at it. We had the dishwasher professionally installed and was not like this before they came out. In my 60 years I have dealt with alot . What happened to the customer is always right. We are not the type of people that would try to blame someone for something unless it was true.

"I did some research on this repair and I was unable to come up with anfy record of us going out to the house. We do repair work for several warranty companies and the customer didn't list whether it was under any kind of warranty or not, so I don't have any accurate responce to this one"

They were okay; except that they had a problem with getting it fixed as it took 2 or 3 calls to fix it. I paid through AHS and it was regular co-pay where I paid $65. It is not an individual contractor. American Home Shield is the owner's insurance and one would pay them. If there is a problem, one would call them and they send the contractor out. One would pay the contractor flat out there. I wasn't bullied over. I probably wouldn't call them independently. They were nice enough.

"It is quite common for some repairs to require a second or third trip to a house. First trip would be for a diagnosis to figure out the problem with the machine and create an estimate to give to the warranty company which is required by American Home Sheild. They have to aprrove the repair prior to doing any work. Then we would order parts and return to the home (2nd trip) to complete the repair. In some cases, for example, we may have to replace a bad motor to find out if a dryer would run. then when we get the motor running we find that the timer is also bad. This may require another part order and another trip (3rd trip) to the customers house to finish the repair. We often have to fix one problem before we can find the other problems."

The repair person was late picking it up and I had to call to get an update on the status of my appliance. When I did pick it up the door was dented (stainless finish). The microwave stopped working again a month later.

Phone rep was knowledgeable and took good notes. The repairman showed up on time as scheduled with the parts needed. He was not able to find a leak we had experienced - but neither have we since he left. That remains a mystery, but I cannot fault the repairman who diligently looked for leakage. I imagine this would have cost less if I had not encouraged him to keep looking beyond the obvious. Repairman was generally fast, knowledgeable, and efficient. Phone rep was up front about the pricing structure and the result was as expected. Good grade on price is only a reflection that their rate is slightly above average.

The repairman showed up in the expected time frame, he had to go get a part, which he immediately did. The work done/time spent seemed reasonable for the cost.
