Tim's Carpet and Interiors

I guess because I didn’t buy the most expensive carpet in the store that I was not treated as a very important customer. I live on a very limited budget and needed a new carpet for my house. But within just a short period of time after I had the carpet installed, there was a big Rise in the middle of the living room floor. I’ve had somebody come by my house recently and they said they could tell a carpet was not installed properly. I turned it into the Better Business Bureau, but I’ve gotten no response from the company. Next time I will go somewhere else. I did not feel like I was treated very nicely.

I have been using Tim‘s carpets for over 30 years for all of our work. The installers that they work with have been with them a long time and are in the habit of doing the job right.

It was excellent. Everything went without a hitch and it was great experience.

Very good, they always did a good job. If I had any issues they were very responsive. They replaced flooring for us.

Great service. Met Gary at the store and able to look at a variety of selections. He explained the different types of flooring options and how install works. We had carpet and tile work done. Scheduling was timely and the flooring looks great. Very happy with the service and staff at Tim’s. Refer them all the time as a customer and a Real Estate Agent.

Wonderfully. The blinds are excellent quality, exactly what I was hoping for. The rep I worked with was very professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. When I needed more blinds a few years after the first were installed, I went back to Tim's.

Very well. Really appreciated and respected Lisa’s suggestions/thoughts/ideas when we built our home. She provided great input on stain colors with our wood flooring, beams, ceiling and staircase. She also worked with us on paint colors on our walls/kitchen island. Much time was spent getting that perfect color! We are pleased with the countertops/ backsplashes/ and walk-in shower choices. We would definitely recommend Lisa and Tim’s Carpet. Very professional!

If I could do NO STARS I would. Over-promised and under-delivered. Lied to make the sale ("oh yes. We've done this in homes before"). NEVER EVER BE THE EXPERIMENT. Five months for a master bath gut and redo. Turns out they had put the flooring in GROUP HOMES with perfectly square rooms. I had told them in advance that the reason for this flooring was that I am a fall risk. They obviously did not care at all. The contractor was done with EVERYTHING in 6 weeks. The rest of the time was waiting [3.5 months] for the floor to be installed with Tim's failing to install it correctly so that water ran out of the shower and headed toward the bedroom (easily 10'-15' away). They sent an installer who did not know what he was doing, constantly asked for input and then dismissed it, and ultimately because NO ONE was overseeing the installer, Tim's had to rip out the floor in the shower and re-do the slope. I WILL NEVER WORK WITH THEM AGAIN. A total cluster all the way around. I paid them because I said I would. They did not deserve it. At all.

It went terribly. This is my third time trying to deal with this company. They are not responsive. After the disastrous first meeting, with an APPOINTMENT, we went in on our own. One of the two sales people spent 40 minutes, twice, (total 1 hour 20 minutes) telling us why she couldn't help us because we had no appointment. In an hour and twenty minutes she could have helped us a lot. Instead we just got lectured at. 

People kept coming up to me asking about products and I said I didn't work there. No salesperson was to be seen. Nobody ever helped me or anyone else in the store. Tims displays were old and outdated. Nothing new. 

at one point the sales lady kept pushing this one carpet on me. I said I wanted Berber and she dismissively waved her hand at me and said nobody buys Berber anymore. Then she let slip that the carpet she kept pushing on me was the one they had in stock. 

They dont wait on you. They don't listen to what you want. They push what they have. They don't acknowledge you. They are dismissive. 

This is store is terrible. Past its prime. Horrible customer service. I went to my builder and told him I didn't want to drop $20,000 on such a horrible business. He said they had treated his wife the same way. 

Dont not use this store. There are plenty of quality, customer driven businesses to use in Salem.

Mixed review:  When choosing bathroom tile my husband and I asked Gary to order a sample tile for us to coordinate colors and patterns.  Didn't happen.  We both felt that Gary was rather dismissive with us, possibly because we were going to have a small order, and we were not going to be purchasing from anyone else since our contractor was only using Tim's.  When the tile installer came to do the job he brought the tiles with him and they were not the right tiles.  The tiles that we wanted would take at least 4 weeks to come in.  I decided to select another tile, and my contractor notified Gary that I would stop by.  When I arrived at Tim's Gary had some tile samples waiting for me, and he spent time with me looking at those and other tiles in the showroom.  He walked me out to my car with my samples and visited with me for a few minutes before I left.  Great service that day! 
  The tile was installed by an outside contractor, but the vinyl floor was done by Tim's and they did a great job, probably the best vinyl floor installation I have had in my house.

This was removal of existing flooring and installation of LVT with transitions to carpet.    Some installation glitches occurred and communication was difficult at times due to several folks involved and in some cases having different opinions. However with persistence on our part the problems were essentially resolved with a good installer and Jeff one of the managers in the forefront of making the customer happy.

The sub-contractor I was told was the best in the business, refused to replace moldy, rusty nail stripes.

Had to call several times to get the job finished up correctly.

I wanted other jobs done at the house, and never received any follow up.

My wife and daughter had went to Home depot and then we went to lowes. We ended up buying local and I am very glad we did, thanks to Ailicia our ignorance became confidence and our angst became happiness. We actually got a 12mm with attached pad cheaper than the box 8mm. I would recommend Tims for any of your flooring needs, and Alicia is great honest and very knowledgeable. |

Gary in sales, was very professional and customer service was excellent. Removal and Install went quick and smooth and very organized with only one person installing. Very professional people and it took about 7 hours and the house looks and smells wonderful.

They did a great job, they were very punctual and explained to me what they were going to do before they did it.

We were very pleased with the installation. We were also extremely pleased with the help we received from Mat Newkirk, a designer at Tim's. Mat was very helpful, responsive and knowledgeable about the various types of carpet. He helped us pick out a great carpet within our budget.

Phil the installer did an excellent job. Mat Newkirk was the designer we were working with at Tim's. Mat was wonderful to work with - very knowledgeable about products and extremely patient, helpful and responsive. We were extremely pleased with our experience and would highly recommend Tim's Carpets.

Very well. Phil the installer was an excellent workman and I felt comfortable leaving him alone in the house when I had to go out. The flooring looks very nice indeed and I am pleased I had the work done.

The carpet is great - installation was wonderful. They also did a terrific job with installation of linoleum. The only thing which keeps me from giving them straight 5's is because they ran out of floor trim in the bathroom and then never returned to finish it. My hubby went down and they gave him an ungly grey strip to put in himself. Doesn't match the rest of the restroom.However, I would highly recommend them. And, I will be using them again.
