After discovering that I no longer had insurance coverage for glass breakage, I started looking for a quote for getting my windshield replaced after a rock hit it and then expanded into a crack. My insurance agent offered to get me a "deal" and one of the places was Speedy. The "deal" price was $250. On looking around on my own, I tried getting a quote from their website. It came out as $210.98. So I called a couple of places, but we were getting ready to leave on vacation so time was important. I called Speedy after calling a few others. I called about scheduling and they gave me a quote over the phone--$225. At this point I told them no because of the variation in prices between the "deal" for my insurance company, the website quote, and the phone quote. I was starting to feel like I was getting jerked around and I told them this. He said to bring in the internet quote and they would honor it. I decided to give them a chance because they do have a good reputation for the quality of the work. We set the appointment for first thing the next morning (too short of notice to use the mobile service, so we went to them). They were friendly and efficient and readily honored the internet quote. They told us to come back in 2 hours and it would be all ready. We came back at the appointed time and it was ready to go. We've had no issues with the quality of the glass or the seal--both are perfect. I appreciate that it is exactly the same style as the original windshield (sun blocking area between the visors). I would highly recommend them. I only downrated the price point because I expect to get the same quote for the same thing regardless of whether I get the quote online or on the phone. I felt the price was very fair, but I don't like feeling like someone is just making it up according to how they feel--set your price and make sure everyone is on the same page.
